Pharmacodynamics

The use of the drug affects blood coagulation. The drug is an indirect anticoagulant. The use of Phenylin leads to the development of hypoprothrombinemia, which is caused by a disorder in the processes of prothrombin formation inside the liver, and in addition to this, to a decrease in the formation of factors of type 7, 9 and 10.

At the same time, the drug has a more powerful cumulative effect compared to the element neodicumarin. Within 8-10 hours after oral administration, the values of blood coagulation factors decrease, and 24-30 hours are required to achieve peak values.

Pharmacokinetics

The medicine is completely and quickly absorbed after application. The active element passes through the histohematic barrier, accumulating inside the tissues.

Metabolic processes take place in the liver.

Excretion occurs through the kidneys - in the form of unchanged substance, as well as metabolic products.

Dosing and administration

The tablets must be taken orally. It should be taken into account that the treatment regimen will have some peculiarities, which is why the drug should be used only in accordance with the doctor's prescriptions. The size of the initial daily portion is often 0.12-0.18 g, which should be taken in 3-4 doses. Then, the next day, the portion size should be reduced to 0.09-0.15 g, and even later - to 0.03-0.06 g. In the future, the frequency of administration and the size of the doses are determined by the values of prothrombin in the blood.

You can take no more than 0.05 g of the drug at one time, and a maximum of 0.2 g per day.

To prevent the occurrence of thromboembolic complications, 0.03 g of the drug should be taken 1-2 times a day.

When treating acute thrombosis, it is necessary to take the drug together with heparin. Therapy should be carried out under strict supervision of a doctor. Constant monitoring of prothrombin levels in the blood, as well as other factors of blood coagulability, is also mandatory. The therapeutic course should be discontinued gradually.

Reviews

Phenylin is considered one of the most effective drugs with this type of pharmacological action - it works well in improving the condition of the blood. This fact is noted on many medical forums.

Therapy with this drug helps most patients restore normal blood clotting. At the same time, literally after 7 days of the course, the patient experiences general improvements, cramps and numbness in the legs disappear. Although some patients experience increased nosebleeds, doctors believe that such changes during the therapy period are completely normal. Often, after the course is completed, this disorder completely disappears.

In addition to discussions of the effects and effectiveness of the drug, among patient reviews you can often find messages that Phenylin is often counterfeited, and therefore when buying it you need to be extremely careful not to buy a fake. That is why it is recommended to buy drugs only in pharmacies that have reliable recommendations.
