Pharmacodynamics
The drug helps improve the learning process due to its positive effect on memory. Reduces the toxic properties of certain drugs, as well as the hypnotic effect of hexobarbital and ethyl alcohol. In addition, it helps improve a bad mood, reduces the pain threshold and increases physical performance.
It helps improve cerebral blood supply, and also stabilizes and activates oxidation-reduction processes inside the brain. At the same time, it helps stabilize regional cerebral blood flow in ischemic areas. In addition, there is an improvement in blood supply in the leg area.
Without affecting spontaneous bioelectric brain activity and GABA indices, the drug increases dopamine and adrenaline levels, as well as serotonin and noradrenaline. This helps improve mood and general condition.
Long-term use of the drug leads to the development of an anorectic effect. Phenotropil has some immunostimulating properties, and in addition, it has a positive effect on vision.
The drug does not have a mutagenic or carcinogenic effect, and does not have an embryostatic effect.
The effect of the drug begins from the moment of the first use. The critical dose leading to death is 0.8 g.
