Interactions with other drugs

Olfen increases the plasma values of lithium agents, methotrexate, as well as cyclosporine with digoxin. In addition, it weakens the effect of diuretics, and when combined with antiplatelet and thrombolytic drugs, as well as anticoagulants increases the likelihood of bleeding.

Combination with diuretic drugs (potassium-sparing) increases the risk of hyperkalemia. The drug weakens the effectiveness of hypnotics, antidiabetic and antihypertensive drugs and increases the risk of developing side effects of SCS and other NSAIDs (most often there is a bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract). Along with this, the drug potentiates the toxic properties of methotrexate and the nephrotoxic properties of cyclosporine.

Combination with paracetamol increases the risk of nephrotoxic exposure to the active ingredient of Olfen. As a result of the combination with ethyl alcohol, colchicine, corticotropin, and also preparations containing St. John's wort, the probability of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract increases.

Preparations that promote the appearance of photosensitization, increase the sensitizing effect of the active component of the drug relative to the ultraviolet.

Drugs that block the secretion of the tubules increase the plasma indices of diclofenac, which is why, when combined with these drugs, it is necessary to adjust its doses.
