Ointments for internal hemorrhoids

Antihemorrhoidal ointments for the internal type of the disease have components that can increase blood microcirculation, thereby preventing the possibility of thrombosis of hemorrhoids. Such drugs also have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties, and some ointments have a healing, hemostatic and anti-edematous effect. To eliminate internal hemorrhoids, Relief, Fleming or Vishnevsky ointment, Levomekol and Troxevasin are most often used.

Ointments for itching in hemorrhoids

Celestoderm B is a drug that effectively removes itching in the anus with hemorrhoids. In addition, the ointment has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties. Another ointment that prevents hemorrhoidal itching is Belogent. In addition to the above properties, it also has an antibacterial effect.

Pharmacodynamics

Among the main active components of the ointment are methyluracil and chloramphenicol. The second substance is a local antibiotic that can effectively combat a wide range of bacterial agents, including those that cause infections. Levomycetin eliminates various types of pathogenic bacteria - staphylococci and streptococci, chlamydia, E. coli. Therefore, it can reduce the severity of inflammation, as well as prevent the development of an infectious process in the rectum.

Methyluracil helps speed up tissue regeneration, so wounds heal faster. In addition, it stimulates local immunity. These properties allow the ointment to quickly heal small erosions on the mucous membrane and heal anal fissures. This component also removes swelling, itching and pain.

The ointment is based on polyethylene oxide, which is an auxiliary component that simplifies its application, as well as the penetration of medicinal elements into tissues, facilitating their uniform distribution. Use of ointments for hemorrhoids during pregnancy and lactation

During pregnancy and lactation, the use of any medical products should be approached with special caution. This also applies to hemorrhoidal ointments.

One of the ointments permitted in this situation is heparin. Its general and local properties are quite gentle, so it quite gently eliminates inflammation and formed hematomas. It is also permitted to be used during the lactation period, since it does not enter the blood.

Vishnevsky ointment is also allowed to be used in such cases. Dosing and administration

Application of ointments for hemorrhoids is performed under the guise of applications after emptying the bowels and performing the necessary hygiene procedures (wash the anus with cool water, then gently dry it with a towel).
