Release form

The drug is released in tablets, which are packed in blister strips in the amount of 7 or 14 pieces. Inside the box there are 1, 2 or 4 strips.

Pharmacodynamics

The drug helps to reduce blood pressure both at rest and under stress or physical exertion. Selective and competitive blocking of extrasynaptic and synaptic β1-adrenoreceptors is carried out, due to which they become inaccessible to catecholamines, and in addition, the process of release of endothelial vasodilator factor or NO is transformed.

The antihypertensive effect of Nebilet is due to the weakening of RAS activity, although there is no direct correlation with changes in renin activity in blood plasma.

At the initial stage of therapy, an increase in the values of OPSS is possible, although they then gradually normalize and even decrease.

The antihypertensive effect is observed after 2-5 days of therapy, and the persistent effect lasts for 1-2 months. At the same time, the myocardium's need for oxygen is reduced, the number of angina attacks decreases and their severity decreases, and physical exercise tolerance increases.

The antiarrhythmic effect is expressed by the impact on relatively pathological cardiac automatism and significant inhibition of AV conduction.

Interactions with other drugs

Combining the drug with anesthetic drugs may cause the development of a cardiodepressant effect, increasing the likelihood of a decrease in blood pressure values.

Combination with antihypertensive medications, nitroglycerin and substances that block slow Ca channels leads to a sharp and strong decrease in blood pressure.

The use of reserpine, clonidine, antiarrhythmic drugs, guanfacine and α-methyldopa causes an increase in the degree of bradycardia. Combined use with clonidine can potentiate the withdrawal syndrome.

Combination with inducers of microsomal oxidation (such as barbiturates and rifampicin) can reduce plasma values of the drug. At the same time, individual inhibitors (for example, cimetidine), on the contrary, increase these indicators.
