Memoplant is a phytopreparation. It increases cellular resistance to oxygen deficiency (hypoxia), especially in the area of brain tissue.
The drug stabilizes peripheral and cerebral blood flow, which improves blood rheology. At the same time, it inhibits the formation of cerebral edema associated with trauma or intoxication. It has a positive effect on the vascular structure: the drug has a vasodilating effect and increases vascular tone. [ 1 ]
Indications Memoplant
It is used to treat the following disorders and conditions:
- changes that affect the brain that have functional as well as organic causes (with symptoms such as dizziness, tinnitus, migraine headaches, mental and attention disorders);
- disorder of blood flow processes (numbness in the feet, Raynaud's disease, sensation of cold and intermittent claudication);
- disorders affecting the inner ear, the symptoms of which include dizziness, tinnitus, and an unsteady, unsteady gait.
Release form
The therapeutic substance is released in tablets - 10, 15 or 20 pieces inside a blister pack. Inside a box - 1, 2, 3 or 5 such packs.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug reduces the rate of aging processes by preventing lipid peroxidation and the formation of free radicals. At the same time, it stabilizes catabolism, release, and absorption of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine with acetylcholine and dopamine). [ 2 ]
Stabilizes metabolism within the body and accumulation of cellular macroergs, and in addition enhances glucose metabolism processes. [ 3 ]
Dosing and administration
When treating intracerebral blood flow disorders, it is necessary to administer 40-80 mg of the drug 3 times a day. The therapy in this case continues for at least 2 months.
In case of pathological disorders of peripheral blood flow, it is necessary to take 40 mg of the drug 3 times a day (or 80 mg 2 times a day). The medication should be used for at least 1.5 months.
To treat involutional disorder affecting the inner ear vessels, it is necessary to take 1 tablet (40 mg), 3 times a day. Such a treatment cycle lasts up to 2 months.
A personalized treatment plan can also be selected for each patient, taking into account the severity of the neurological pathology, age, and the body's response to the therapy being performed.
- Application for children
It should not be used in persons under 12 years of age, since there is too little information on the use of the drug in this group of patients.
Use Memoplant during pregnancy
Due to the small amount of information regarding the use of Memoplant during breastfeeding or pregnancy, it is not prescribed during these periods.
Contraindications
Main contraindications:
- gastritis having an erosive form;
- disorder of blood clotting processes;
- ulcerative lesions in the gastrointestinal tract (active phase);
- disorders of intracerebral blood flow;
- active phase of myocardial infarction;
- severe intolerance to the active components of the drug.
Side effects Memoplant
Side effects include:
- CNS disorders: headaches or hearing problems;
- allergy symptoms: epidermal rashes or swelling, itching, and redness;
- disorders of hemocoagulation function: weakening of blood clotting. Bleeding occurs occasionally;
- others: gastrointestinal disorders.
Interactions with other drugs
Memoplant should not be combined with aspirin, anticoagulants and substances that affect the level of hemocoagulation (blood clotting).
Storage conditions
Memoplant must be stored in a place protected from sunlight and moisture. Temperature indicators should not exceed 25°C.
Shelf life
Memoplant can be used for a period of 5 years from the date of manufacture of the drug.
Analogues
The analogs of the drug are Giloba, Tanakan with Bilobil Forte, Ginkoum and Bilobil.
Reviews
