Pharmacodynamics

The medicine helps to restore the phases of sleep, as well as the process of melatonin release. In addition, it accelerates falling asleep and contributes to prolonged and high-quality sleep, not interrupted by awakenings; It should be noted that along with this, the drug does not cause the development of daytime sedative effects. Agomelanin has a longer term than that of melatonin, the term half-life, as well as a higher affinity index for melatonin endings.

It is extremely important that the drug has almost no negative manifestations of serotonergic (tremor, anxiety, headaches, impotence, insomnia and dizziness) and adrenergic nature (dry oral mucous membranes, elevated blood pressure values and constipation).

In volunteers, Melitor did not lead to the development of a negative impact in relation to weight, memory, sexual activity and blood pressure level. In addition, the drug does not cause addiction and does not lead to the appearance of withdrawal syndrome.

Exchange processes take place inside the liver.

Approximately 80% of drugs are excreted through the kidneys in the form of non-active metabolic elements. The term half-life is equal to 1-2 hours.

Reviews

Melitor is usually used in the case of depressions, in which there are sleep disturbances and anxiety, and in addition, in the case of hypertonic VSD, accompanied by asthenic anxiety symptoms. Patients leave quite different reviews regarding the effectiveness of the drug.

All patients note that the medication helps regulate the sleep cycle, while its sedative effects do not lead to the development of daytime sedation. Of the minuses, there is a weakening of concentration when you are driving, as well as weak headaches during the first 7 days of use.

Some commentators consider the medicine to be effective, but there are also those to whom it did not help much. Such differences depend on many factors, including the intensity of depression, sensitivity to drugs and so on. In addition to medications, it is recommended to prescribe psychotherapy - going to sessions with a psychotherapist. This helps to improve the effect of therapy.
