The unique geographical and climatic features of the Dead Sea explain the unique content of salts and minerals in the water and mud. They contain everything necessary for the normal functioning of skin cells, which promotes rejuvenation and freshness of the skin. Dead Sea masks can be prepared independently or purchased in a salon or pharmacy. Sometimes such products are prescribed by dermatologists, for example, for psoriasis or other skin diseases.

Dead Sea Mud Mask

You can make a mask from the Dead Sea mud yourself at home. Take 100 g of therapeutic mud, add 4-5 drops of lavender oil and up to 2 drops of sandalwood oil. Add clean water to get the consistency of thick sour cream. Apply as a mask to a pre-cleansed face for 10-15 minutes, then gently wash off with warm water.

You should not keep the mask on longer than the recommended time, as this may cause irritation and redness of the skin.

Mask with Dead Sea Minerals

The effect of any mineral mask can be enhanced by adding other healing ingredients:

  • acne mask - mix a tablespoon of mud with the same amount of dried chamomile flowers ground in a coffee grinder and sea buckthorn oil;
  • mask for soft and velvety skin – mix a little mud with warm milk (40°C) until it reaches the consistency of thick sour cream;
  • mask to restore skin elasticity - mix 2 teaspoons of mud with ground chamomile flowers and mint leaves (1 teaspoon each);
  • cleansing mask - mix the mud with propolis and dilute with clean water to the consistency of sour cream;
  • mask for increased sebaceous gland function - mix the mud with chamomile infusion until it reaches the consistency of thick sour cream;
  • a mask to remove signs of fatigue on the face - dilute the mud with clean water until it reaches a creamy consistency, add a few (5-7) drops of almond, citrus or jasmine oil;
  • mask for dry skin - add a little olive or linseed oil to the diluted mud.

Reviews of Dead Sea Masks

Women who suffer from excessively dry skin, acne, signs of skin aging, and not without reason consider Dead Sea products to be very effective. Scientists have found that therapeutic mud and salts can significantly rejuvenate and improve the skin, but only if they are used regularly.

Dead Sea masks are also effective for other problematic conditions, including cellulite.

Reviews of Dead Sea masks are often supplemented with tips and recommendations on the correct use of mud. We will be happy to introduce you to them:

  1. You should only use dirt whose origin you are sure of.
  2. If the mask has a semi-liquid consistency, then it does not need to be diluted. Masks that are sold in powder form should be diluted with water, herbal infusion or other means to the consistency of sour cream.
  3. The mask should be well mixed and free of lumps and crumbs.
  4. Before the first use, you should do an allergy test and apply a small amount of the mask to an invisible area of the skin. If there is no reaction within 20-30 minutes, you can safely apply the mask to your face or hair.
  5. Don't be alarmed if you feel warmth or a slight tingling sensation after applying the mask.
  6. The mask should be applied to clean and moisturized skin.
  7. If the mask feels unbearable, remove it immediately with warm water. Do not keep the mask on your face or hair longer than the prescribed time.
  8. A properly prepared mask should be easy to wash off with ordinary warm water.

Dead Sea masks can give you renewed, youthful and radiant skin no matter your age. If you have any questions about using masks, please contact a professional mud therapist.
