Maksamin Forte is a complex of multivitamins, in which useful micronutrients are contained. Apply it in case of a deficiency of trace elements with vitamins in the body (during lactation or convalescence, and in addition as an additional tool in the treatment of antibiotics). The medicine gives a good result in the treatment of retinal pigmentary dystrophy, dry eye syndrome, and in addition to night blindness, xerotic keratitis, diseases and injuries of the epithelium with the skin and eczematous lesions of the eyelids.

Indications Maksamin forte

  • beriberi or hypovitaminosis;
  • inadequate, improper diet;
  • increased loads (both physical and mental);
  • the rehabilitation period after the transferred diseases;

Period after surgery.

Release form

Produced in the form of tablets. One strip contains 10 tablets. The strip is placed in an envelope of paper. The package contains 10 such envelopes.

Pharmacodynamics

Vitamin D stimulates the absorption of phosphorus with calcium from the intestine. In addition, it helps to form healthy bones and teeth, and also contributes to their functioning.

Water-soluble vitamins from group B (such as riboflavin, thiamin, and in addition cyanocobalamin and pyridoxine) improve metabolic processes, and are also constituent parts of other compounds (eg, coenzymes). Influence the metabolism of proteins, as well as carbohydrates with amino acids, and in addition to the synthesis of DNA and other molecules. Together with this, they participate in the process of formation of erythrocytes, as well as the functioning of nerve cells during oxidation-reduction reactions.

Vitamin (water-soluble) group C is an important component in the regulation of oxidation-reduction processes of carbohydrate metabolism, tissue healing and blood clotting. Also takes part in the processes of synthesis of collagen and corticosteroids. Vitamin C regulates the permeability of capillaries, increases immunity, and also has an antioxidant effect.

Nicotinic acid is a water-soluble vitamin, which has specific anti-pelagic properties, and besides it contributes to the improvement of carbohydrate metabolism. It also improves the condition of patients suffering from heart and liver diseases, diabetes mellitus in mild form, ulcers of the duodenum gut or stomach, long-healing wounds and enterocolitis. It also performs vasodilating action. This component has lipid-lowering activity, lowers the concentration of cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins (in particular, triglycerides).

Vitamin B9 promotes the proper formation of megaloblasts with the subsequent formation of erythroblasts. It also affects erythropoiesis and the synthesis of various substances - amino acids (such as serine, methionine, etc.), purines, nucleic acids, and pyrimidines.

Pantothenic acid is a water-soluble vitamin and is found in the composition of coenzyme A, which participates in oxidative processes and acetylation. In addition, it helps fat and carbohydrate metabolism, the process of synthesis of acetylcholine and the formation of corticosteroids. It is used to eliminate diseases caused by metabolic disorders. With neuralgic pathologies, polyneuritis, allergies, paresthesias, development of eczema, burns and trophic ulcers, and in addition to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (having non-infectious origin) and toxicosis in pregnant women. It increases the medicinal action of cardiac glycosides, and also reduces the toxicity of antituberculous drugs.

Tocopherol acetate is a natural fat-soluble antioxidant that takes part in protein biosynthesis as well as heme. In addition, also in cellular reproduction, tissue respiration and other important metabolic processes in cells. It is used for muscular dystrophy.

Iron is an important component in the process of transporting electrons and oxygen through the tissues of the body. Calcium helps to form bone tissue, and also participates in the process of hemostasis. Copper is one of the components in the enzyme system (cofactor) when using iron during the synthesis of hemoglobin.

Zinc is the main microelement, usually found in the body as a result of a diet. It is part of many enzymes and insulin. Magnesium acts as an element that activates the metabolic process. It is necessary for some enzymes to exercise maximum effects (such as phosphatases and peptidases). Manganese sulphate is a member of fat metabolism, helps form the structure of bone and connective tissues, and produces cholesterol.

Pharmacokinetics

Retinol is included in the category of fat-soluble vitamins and quickly absorbed through the upper parts of the small intestine, penetrating the liver. After consuming the drug, the substance reaches a peak concentration in the blood plasma after 4 hours. Distribution in the body occurs unevenly - mainly retinol is concentrated in the ocular retina and liver. Decay products are excreted together with urine. The half-life is 9.1 hours. In a healthy person in the urine, unmetabolized vitamin is not detected, since its excretion occurs together with bile.

Cholecalciferol is also a fat-soluble substance that is absorbed from the small intestine. Cumulation of the substance occurs in the liver, and excretion is mainly along with bile. The excess of ascorbic acid remains unchanged and is excreted along with the urine.

Folic acid is a water-soluble component. It is restored in the body, converted into tetrahydrofolic acid (this is coenzyme, taking part in a variety of metabolic processes).

Dosing and administration

Tablets should be taken orally with food (optimally for breakfast), washed down with water and not chewed. For children 12+ years of age and adults, the dosage is 1 tablet per day (if there are no other medical prescriptions).

Use Maksamin forte during pregnancy

Overdose

When an overdose of vitamin A can develop diarrhea, and in addition, headaches, vision problems, bone pain, the development of anorexia or gastralgia. In addition, also baldness, increased fatigue, the development of anemia or hepatosplenomegaly, vomiting, subperiosteal hemorrhage and premature fusion of the bone epiphysis.

As a therapy - it is necessary to stop taking medication and to eliminate the symptoms.

In case of an overdose of Group D vitamin, vomiting, headaches, thirst, and also polyuria, calcification of soft tissues, urolithiasis or nephrocalcinosis may be observed.

Therapy: stop taking medication and begin to follow a diet (low calcium content in food and drinking lots of electrolytes with liquid).

An overdose of vitamin B6: development of ataxia or peripheral form of neuropathy. Excess iron can cause vomiting with nausea, as well as the development of erosive-ulcerative processes in the gastrointestinal tract.
