Karbolong is a coal that has a vegetative nature. Special heat treatment of this substance allows to increase its sorption area, which contributes to the absorption of alkaloids with gases, exo- and endotoxins, as well as other chemical compounds.
The drug helps to more effectively synthesize toxic ligaments - by physical sorption inside the pores with further elimination from the body along with the sorbent mass in the composition of the intestinal contents.
Indications Karbolonga
It is used in case of acute intoxication with various poisons (industrial, household or food) or medicines, and also poisoning with heavy metal salts and alkaloids. Also used in foodborne diseases, bloating and dyspepsia.
Release form
The release of drugs is made in the form of powder - inside packages of 5 g. The box contains 30 such packages.
Pharmacokinetics
The drug helps to improve blood flow inside the intestines and stimulate its motility. At the same time Karbolong does not have a toxic effect, does not undergo metabolic processes and is almost not absorbed inside the intestinal lumen.
The drug demonstrates a prolonged therapeutic activity (in the range of 36-48 hours) and an intense adsorption effect during the entire period of passage through the gastrointestinal tract, which differs from simple activated carbon.
Dosing and administration
Taking into account the severity of poisoning, 5-10 g of powder is prescribed 3 times a day (for an adult), or 2.5-5 g with the same frequency (for a child of 7-14 years old).
It is necessary to use the substance orally, for 1,5-2 hours before or after eating food or using other medicines, drinking a powder with plain water. In addition, it is taken in the form of a suspension (5 g of drug is dissolved in half a cup of ordinary water).
The duration of the treatment cycle is determined by the severity of the poisoning and is 3-15 days.

Use Karbolonga during pregnancy
The drug can be prescribed to breastfeeding or pregnant women.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated for use in cases of severe intolerance against the medication, and in addition, for bleeding inside the stomach and ulcers affecting the gastrointestinal tract.
Side effects Karbolonga
Taking the medicine can cause severe intolerance, and besides this, vomiting and nausea. Its introduction can lead to intestinal disorders (obstipation or diarrhea), which disappear during symptomatic procedures and the abolition of the drug.
Prolonged use (over 15 days) sometimes causes absorption disorders, due to which the body lacks hormones, proteins with fats and vitamins; in such cases, an alimentary or drug adjustment is required.
Overdose
When excessive allowable 1-fold servings of Karbolong are excessive, nausea, constipation or vomiting is observed.
Interactions with other drugs
Since the drug has adsorbing activity, it can reduce the effects of drugs used with it. Because of this, with the combined treatment Karbolong is recommended to use 60-90 minutes before or after the use of other drugs.

Storage conditions
Karbolong needs to be kept in a place closed from the penetration of young children, as well as far from materials and elements that can emit gases with vapors. Temperature values are not higher than 30 ° С.

Karbolong can be used for a 5-year term from the date of manufacture of the drug substance.
