Carboplast is an effective dermatological medicinal product; it is a urea medicine.

The drug promotes the development of onycholysis processes. Due to the high levels of urea in its composition, the drug has a softening effect on the nail plate infected with fungus, which allows it to be peeled off without causing pain and bleeding. After removing the nail infected with fungus, it becomes possible to carry out subsequent local antifungal therapy.

Indications Carboplasta

Used for onychomycosis to remove the infected nail.

Dosing and administration

Before applying the preparation, it is necessary to carry out a procedure using a soap-alkaline bath. The medicine is applied to the infected nail, after which it is sealed with a waterproof plaster for a period of 48 hours. Then the plaster is removed and the affected finger is dipped in warm water for 10 minutes. After this, the infected part of the nail plate will be softened and can be removed with a scraper.

In situations where the nail bed does not become completely smooth, it is again treated with cream and sealed with a plaster. The medicine should be used until the bed becomes smooth and the entire softened area is removed. The duration of the course is determined by the size of the infected area and the thickness of the nail plate. For complete removal of a nail infected with fungus, 1-3 exposures with a duration of 48 hours each are usually required (thus, the course is 2-6 days).

Once the nail is removed, treatment is performed using a local antifungal agent prescribed by the attending physician (the course lasts 1 month). The effectiveness of therapy for fungal nail infections is determined mainly by the thoroughness of removing the infected area of the plate and subsequent antifungal treatment.

If the desired effect is not achieved after the first cycle of using the cream, you should consult a medical specialist for possible prescription of a repeat course of treatment.
