Instaril Expectorate is a complex medicine that contains substances that stimulate the activity of adrenoreceptors. It has an expectorant effect.

Pharmacodynamics
Salbutamol is an adrenergic mimic that selectively stimulates the activity of β2-adrenergic receptors located inside the myometrium, bronchi and blood vessels. Bromhexine leads to the depolymerization of acidic mucopolysaccharides with sputum mucoproteins. Helps sputum discharge, reducing its viscosity. Along with this stimulates the production of surfactant.

Dosing and administration
