Infacol is a medicament which contains the active ingredient simethicone.
This component is chemically inert, therefore it acts only by physical means; it helps to loosen the surface tension of gas bubbles that form inside the gastric contents and intestinal mucus, resulting in their destruction. Due to this, these bubbles merge, which leads to the relief of intestinal gas excretion processes.
Indications Infakola
It is used in pediatrics - in infants, to eliminate cramps and colic, developing in the area of smooth intestinal muscles due to the accumulation of gas bubbles inside the intestinal lumen.
Release form
The release of the drug is in the form of an oral suspension, inside a glass bottle, having a capacity of 50, 75 or 100 ml; in the box - 1 bottle complete with dispenser.
Dosing and administration
Infacol is taken orally; however, the suspension does not need to be diluted. The duration of the treatment cycle is selected by the attending doctor, individually for each patient.
The newborn is recommended to appoint 0.5 ml of suspension. The drug should be administered before each breastfeeding procedure. With the appointment of a pediatrician, a 1-fold portion can be increased to 1 ml (corresponding to 40 mg of simethicone).
Drug exposure reaches its maximum after 2-3 days from the moment of the start of taking the drug.
Shelf life
Infacol can be used for a 24-month term since the release of the therapeutic substance.
Application for children
The drug is used in infants younger than 12 months.
Analogs
Analogues of the medication are Disflatil, Espumizan, Bobotik with Colikida, as well as Simethicone and Sab Simplex.

Infacol receives good reviews from parents - it is reported that the effect of taking the medicine appears quite quickly. In addition to the disappearance of colic and cramps, there is an improvement in the infant's sleep.
