Infenak has analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity. It contains the substance aceclofenac, which is included in the subcategory of NSAIDs.
This component helps to reduce the severity of inflammation, and at the same time inhibits the occurrence and transmission of pain impulses.
In people with rheumatic diseases, after using aceclofenac, swelling and stiffness of the joints in the morning are reduced; in addition, pain is reduced and joint mobility is improved.
Indications Infenaca
It is used in cases of pain observed against the background of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis or Bechterew's disease.
Release form
The release of the therapeutic substance is realized in tablets - 10 pieces inside the contour plates. In the box - 1 such plate.
Pharmacodynamics
Aceclofenac is a derivative of α-toluic acid; its chemical structure is similar to diclofenac. The substance slows down the activity of the COX enzyme, resulting in a weakened production of PG elements, as well as prostacyclins.

Pharmacokinetics
After oral administration, the active element of the drug is well absorbed in the digestive system; its bioavailability level reaches 100%. Eating food slightly reduces the absorption rate, but does not affect the bioavailability values of aceclofenac. Plasma Cmax values are recorded after 1.25-3 hours from the moment of taking the drug.
About 99.7% of the drug undergoes intraplasmic synthesis with protein. Aceclofenac can overcome the BBB and hematoplacental barrier.
Intrahepatic metabolic processes of the drug are carried out using the structure of the hemoprotein P450 2C9; excretion is mainly carried out through the kidneys - in the form of inactive metabolic elements. A maximum of 1% of the administered portion of aceclofenac is excreted unchanged. The half-life of the component is 4-4.3 hours.
In individuals with liver problems, the half-life may be prolonged.
Dosing and administration
The medicine is taken orally. To reduce the likelihood of negative symptoms associated with digestive function, the tablet should be swallowed whole. Infenak can be taken without reference to food intake, washing down the medicine with plain water. The dosage and duration of the treatment cycle are selected by the doctor.
Often the dosage of the medicine is 1 tablet taken 2 times a day.
People with liver problems should consume no more than 0.1 g of aceclofenac per day (if the disorder is severe, the use of the medication is prohibited).

Use Infenaca during pregnancy
The decision regarding the use of Infenac during pregnancy should be made by a doctor. The drug should not be used in the 3rd trimester (this applies to any substances that inhibit the binding of PG; when aceclofenac is administered in the 3rd trimester, the fetus may develop cardiovascular disease, and with it, complications during labor). The drug should also not be used when planning conception, because it can cause reproductive disorders (reversible).
If the medicine needs to be used during lactation, breastfeeding should be stopped for this period.
Contraindications
The medication should not be used in case of intolerance to aceclofenac or other NSAIDs (this includes people with a history of the “aspirin” triad).
It is prohibited to prescribe the medicine to people with an active ulcer in the gastrointestinal tract (also in case of its relapse in chronic lesions) or in case of suspicion of its presence. In addition, it is contraindicated in case of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract or active bleeding in any area of the body.
The drug is not used in cases of severe heart failure, or in cases of severe renal dysfunction.
It should be used with great caution in people with diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, cerebrovascular bleeding, hematopoietic disorders, SLE and porphyria, as well as in the elderly.
Infenak should also be used with caution in people with problems in the functioning of the kidneys, cardiovascular system and liver, as well as in conditions with fluid retention in the body.
Side effects Infenaca
The medication is usually tolerated without complications. The following side effects were found during clinical testing:
- gastrointestinal tract lesions: dyspeptic symptoms, bowel disorders, pain affecting the epigastrium, nausea and increased activity of intrahepatic enzymes;
- disorders associated with the functioning of the nervous system: dizziness, paresthesia and headaches;
- manifestations of allergy: epidermal rashes, urticaria and itching;
- other: hypercreatininemia.
Negative symptoms that appear under the influence of aceclofenac are usually mild and do not require special treatment. After stopping the drug, they disappear on their own.
Overdose
There is no information regarding poisoning with Infenak. In case of taking excessively large doses of the drug, vomiting, pain in the abdominal and epigastric area, convulsions, nausea, headaches, respiratory depression, decreased blood pressure and renal failure may occur.
The medication has no antidote. In case of intoxication, gastric lavage and enterosorbents should be performed. If signs of overdose appear, appropriate measures and procedures should be taken to support the functioning of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system and kidneys.
Because aceclofenac is synthesized with high intensity with intraplasmic protein, performing peritoneal or hemodialysis, and in addition, forced diuresis to reduce plasma drug values will be ineffective.
Interactions with other drugs
It is prohibited to use the medication in combination with other NSAIDs.
Infenac is able to influence the medicinal activity of drugs whose metabolic processes are realized with the help of hemoprotein P450 2C9 (including phenytoin, miconazole, cimetidine with phenylbutazone, as well as fulfaphenazole and amiodarone).
The drug may affect plasma levels of lithium drugs and methotrexate, and also potentiate their toxic properties.
There is a possibility of developing a pharmacokinetic interaction between the drug and agents that are synthesized in large quantities with plasma proteins.
At the same time, when combining the drug with anticoagulants, an increase in their activity can be expected, as well as an increase in the likelihood of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract (a similar effect is typical for other substances from the NSAID group, but there is insufficient information of this nature regarding aceclofenac specifically).
A nephrotoxic effect may be observed with a combination of non-opioid analgesics and cyclosporine or tacrolimus.
Non-opioid analgesics weaken the effect of bumetanide, furosemide, and thiazide diuretics; in addition, they increase the likelihood of hyperkalemia when used simultaneously with potassium-sparing diuretics.
NSAIDs are prescribed with extreme caution to people who use substances that slow down the activity of ACE inhibitors or angiotensin-2 endpoint antagonists. This is due to the high probability of changing the therapeutic effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs and an increased probability of nephrotoxic effects.
Caution is required when combining non-opioid analgesics with orally administered antidiabetic drugs and insulin.
Storage conditions
Infenac must be stored at temperatures in the range of 15-25°C.
