Homviotensin has antihypertensive properties.
Release form
The product is produced in tablet form, 100 pieces per box.
Pharmacodynamics
The medicine is homeopathic and has an antihypertensive effect (this effect is provided by the action of all the elements of the drug).
Mistletoe affects the activity of the vasomotor center.
Reserpine helps to weaken the OPS, as well as cardiac output, and at the same time slows down the activity of the pressor center. Also, this element, in combination with rauwolfia, helps to reduce the catecholamine index, thereby reducing the effect on vascular adrenoreceptors.
Hawthorn has an antispasmodic effect on blood vessels, expanding them and, at the same time, reducing blood pressure.
The diuretic effect is provided by the activity of white mistletoe and hawthorn. These medicinal components also have an anti-atherosclerotic effect - due to their hypolipidemic properties. In addition, these plants have an antioxidant effect.
Antiarrhythmic properties develop under the influence of the activity of hawthorn and rauwolfia alkaloids, which weaken the excitability of the myocardium, slow down AV conduction, and also suppress the automatism of the sinus node.
The sedative effect is due to the drug's action on the central nervous system, manifesting itself in the form of a reduction in the feeling of fear and anxiety, and in addition, a weakening of emotional tension.
Dosing and administration
The medication should be taken half an hour before meals, holding the tablet in the mouth until it is completely dissolved. The duration of the therapeutic cycle is 1-1.5 months. The number of tablets taken is determined by blood pressure readings.
If the blood pressure level is within the range of 145/85-160/85, you should drink 1 tablet of LS in the morning and then in the evening. If the blood pressure readings are 160/90-180/90, then the drug is taken according to the scheme: 2 tablets in the morning, another 1 tablet in the afternoon, before lunch, and the last one in the evening, before dinner. With values of 180/95-190/100 (in combination with other medications), a scheme of 2-1-2 tablets is required. If the blood pressure is 190/100 or more (part of complex therapy), then the tablets must be taken in the 2-2-2 mode.
The first results of therapy are observed after 7 days of treatment. After achieving stable pressure indicators, the medication is taken in maintenance doses.
Children over 10 years of age are prescribed dosages that make up half of the adult portion. Safety of use in children has been proven by clinical tests.
If symptoms of a hypertensive crisis occur in an adult, tablets should be taken hourly until the daily dose of 12 tablets is reached.
If switching to Homviotensin from other antihypertensive drugs, they should be discontinued gradually, with half a portion taken for 7 days, and then ¼ of a portion. If the blood pressure level has stabilized, other drugs can be discontinued, continuing to use only Homviotensin.
The medication does not affect sexual function in men.

Reviews
Homviotensin is often used in the treatment of mild forms of primary hypertension or cardiovascular disorders - because it is a herbal remedy that patients often prefer over others in the treatment of various diseases.
People who took the drug report the development of symptoms of improvement by the 3rd week of its use, as well as good tolerability. The drug helps to gently lower blood pressure (this is especially important for older people who have reduced vascular elasticity). Due to the gradual decrease in blood pressure values, it is possible to avoid the appearance of a feeling of discomfort, as well as dizziness. It is this gentle therapeutic effect of the drug that patients note as one of its most important advantages.
At the same time, the drug does not cause tachycardia and does not cause a sharp decrease in blood pressure when changing body position. People taking β-blockers or calcium antagonists had their doses reduced when combined with Homviotensin. When replacing these drugs, patients did not experience an increase in blood pressure or other negative symptoms. The drug increases performance without suppressing central nervous system activity or causing dizziness.
The drug has excellent reviews from elderly patients because, among other things, it does not require combined use with diuretics, which worsen blood microcirculation in this age category.
Since all the components of the drug are contained in small portions, this eliminates the risk of negative effects.
