Cholenzym has a choleretic effect and improves digestive function.
Indications Holenzyme
It is used in the following cases:
- to improve digestive activity and as a choleretic enzyme for hepatitis, pancreatitis and cholecystitis in the chronic stage, colitis, gastritis, bloating and diarrhea of non-infectious origin;
- to stimulate the digestion processes in people with normal digestive activity, but with some errors in the diet (irregular meals, as well as overeating and consumption of fatty foods);
- treatment of physical inactivity, chewing disorders, and also prolonged immobilization.
Release form
It is produced in tablets, 10 or 25 pieces inside a blister pack or strip. It can also be contained in plastic or glass jars, 30 or 50 pieces. There is 1 such jar in a box.
Pharmacodynamics
The medicine is multicomponent. Its elements are extracted from the organs of cattle intended for slaughter. The drug reflexively stimulates the process of bile biosynthesis, increases the indicators of bile acids inside it, and at the same time promotes the activation of the secretory and motor activity of the gastrointestinal tract, and reduces the values of cholesterol in the blood.
Pancreatic enzymes (such as amylase with trypsin), which are contained in Cholenzym, improve the process of digestion of such elements as carbohydrates with proteins, and in addition, contribute to a more complete adsorption of these elements in the small intestine.
Dosing and administration
The medicine should be taken after meals, washed down with plain water.
For persons aged 12 years and over, the dosage is 1 tablet taken up to 3 times a day (a more precise figure is determined by the attending physician). The duration of the course of therapy is usually 1-2 months.

Use Holenzyme during pregnancy
Cholenzim can be prescribed to a pregnant or nursing woman if necessary. However, the course of treatment must be carried out under the supervision of a doctor.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to drug components;
- acute pancreatitis;
- children under 12 years of age;
- jaundice of subhepatic nature;
- exacerbation of chronic pancreatitis;
- ulcer in the acute stage;
- acute hepatitis.
Side effects Holenzyme
When using the drug, in some cases one can expect the appearance of allergic symptoms, which take the form of skin rashes, lacrimation, skin hyperemia, and in addition sneezing.
Overdose
In case of long-term use of the drug in large doses, nausea, heartburn, skin rash and diarrhea may develop, and in addition, the level of transaminases in the blood may increase.
Symptomatic treatment procedures are used to eliminate these disorders.
Interactions with other drugs
Long-term use of Cholenzym may lead to decreased iron absorption.

Storage conditions
Cholenzym should be kept in a place protected from sunlight and children. Temperature – no more than 24°C.
Shelf life
Cholenzim can be used for 2 years from the date of release of the drug.
