Indications Betiola
It is used for the treatment of hemorrhoids with painful sensations, as well as for cracks in the rectal area.
Release form
Release of the drug is realized in the form of rectal suppositories. Inside the blister plate there are 5 candles. The box contains 2 plates.
Pharmacodynamics
Atropine (which is a belladonna alkaloid with a high level of activity) has an analgesic and spasmolytic effect, which is why it is often used in the treatment of diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, against which there are muscle spasms: spastic colitis, ulcers, colic in the stomach or intestines, and also pylorospasm. As often because of spasms there is a pain, together with their elimination atropine removes and painful sensations. Extract krasavki in the form of candles is used to eliminate hemorrhoids and spasms of uterine musculature.
Component ichthyol has anti-inflammatory, keratoplastic, disinfecting and local analgesic properties. A high level of sulfur within the component provides an antimicrobial effect. After local use, there is a decrease in pain and exudation, and in addition, improvement of the circulatory processes and acceleration of tissue healing.
Dosing and administration
You need to inject the medicine rectally, according to the first suppository three times a day (it is recommended to do this after defecation or cleansing enema). If required, more frequent use of Betiola is allowed up to 10 times / day. To import a suppository it is necessary from position on a side, lying. In this case, it is not possible for the suppository to begin to melt. It is injected to a depth of 2-2.5 cm, after which the patient must reduce the buttocks and stay for a few more minutes. The duration of therapy is determined by the effectiveness of drugs (often it is 7-10 days).
Use Betiola during pregnancy
With lactation or pregnancy, the drug can be used only with the appointment of a doctor in situations where the benefits of its use are more likely than the appearance of complications in the infant / fetus.
Contraindications
The main contraindications:
- glaucoma;
- the presence of intolerance with respect to the elements of the drug;
- BPH.
Side effects Betiola
The use of the drug can cause the appearance of such side effects: signs of allergies, constipation, psychomotor agitation, thirst and dryness of the oral mucosa, strong palpitation, eyeball widening and transient loss of vision.

Overdose
Because of an overdose, there are often signs of constipation, tachycardia, dryness of the oral mucosa, feelings of thirst, visual fogging, and dilated pupils. If intoxication has a severe form, there is a delay in urination, convulsions and psychomotor agitation.
