Indications Hexosepta

The spray is used for mild infections that occur inside the oral cavity:

  • elimination of pain in the throat, as well as recurrent aphthous ulcers;
  • getting rid of bad breath;
  • treatment of candidiasis;
  • therapy or prevention of the development of gingivitis (an auxiliary element of the combined course);
  • before or after performing surgical dental procedures.

Release form

The product is produced in the form of a spray for oral cavity treatment, in 25 g canisters. The canisters are equipped with valves-nozzles, sprayers, and a protective cap. The box contains 1 canister with spray.

Pharmacodynamics

Hexetidine has an effect on gram-negative and -positive microbes, as well as yeast (Candida albicans) and fungi.

After local application, the preparation has an antiseptic (antifungal and antibacterial), and in addition, a hemostatic and minor analgesic effect. Along with this, it has enveloping properties and a deodorizing effect, which allows you to remove the bad smell that appears from the mouth. Enveloping the oral mucosa lasts 12 hours.

Hexetidine has a destructive effect on the membranes of microbial cells, which leads to their destruction, or destroys the processes of binding components required for bacterial reproduction. Antifungal action also develops as a result of disruption of the processes of formation of elements that contribute to the formation of fungal membranes.

Dosing and administration

For adults, children over 6 years old, and the elderly, the spray is applied locally to the affected areas and mucous membranes of the pharynx and oral cavity.

The size of the spray portion is equal to 1-6 presses on the spray nozzle. Each of the injections contains about 0.1 g of the drug. The affected areas are often treated 2 times a day - after meals: in the morning and then in the evening. The duration of such a course is prescribed by the doctor, taking into account the characteristics of the course of the pathology, as well as its severity.

The medicine cannot be used to eliminate long-term pathological manifestations.

Before use, remove the cap from the can and then put the spray nozzle on the valve. Before spraying the substance into the oral cavity, press the nozzle several times (approximately 4-6) until a dispersed stream appears. Before each new use, press 2 times - to get the solution into the sprayer, which will allow you to start using the spray.

When performing the procedure, it is necessary to direct the nozzle opening to the affected area of the throat or oral cavity, and then press on the spray. During this action, it is necessary to hold your breath for a short time. The can itself should be held vertically so that the nozzle is located on top; it is prohibited to use an inverted can.

After the procedure, you need to remove the nozzle from the valve and rinse it using plain warm water. The can should be closed with a protective cap.
