Herbs for eyewash

A safe and effective treatment for ophthalmic diseases is phytotherapy. Herbs used for eye washing contain substances that trigger physiological processes in the body and accelerate the healing process. Vegetable raw materials contain useful macro and microelements, vitamins, organic acids, enzymes, natural antibiotics. Such a composition allows to restore the health of the organs of vision.

Eyes washing with chamomile
The simplest and at the same time effective way to relieve redness, inflammation or irritation of the eyes is to rinse them with chamomile. The therapeutic effect of the plant is explained by its composition: coumarins, tannins, phytosterols, organic acids, vitamins and minerals, derivatives of bioflavonoids, essential oils.
Chamomile is most often used in the treatment of conjunctivitis, because it has the following properties:
- Disinfectant.
- Anesthetic.
- Anti-inflammatory.
- Anti-allergic.
- Spasmolytic.
- Antipruritic.
For treatment, you can use dry shredded flowers and plant leaves or packaged raw materials.
- To remove irritation, a feeling of rubbing in the eyes, swelling and redness of the eyelids, take 1-2 teaspoons of dry raw material. Brew chamomile with a glass of steep boiling water and let it brew until the infusion becomes room temperature. Strain and use for compresses on the eyes. Adjust the wadded soaked in a solution for 3-5 minutes 1-3 times a day.
- With severe swelling of the eyelids after sleep, you can use a compress of chamomile infusion. Take a tablespoon of flowers and pour 250 ml of hot water. After 30 minutes strain through gauze. Moisten in the infusion of cotton swabs and put them on your eyelids. Carry out the procedure several times within 40 minutes.
- With pronounced inflammation of the eyes and swelling of the eyelids, a compress made of chamomile is recommended. Take the bagged chamomile and brew it. Once the bags are comfortable for body temperature, put them on closed eyelids for 5-10 minutes. Such a compress has a cosmetological effect, since it prevents the early appearance of wrinkles.
Chamomile does not cause side effects. But extreme caution in its use should be observed by patients with pollinosis, since the plant can cause allergic reactions. Calendula for eyewash
Herbaceous plant with pronounced medicinal properties, which has received the name of a nail in the people, is calendula. For the preparation of broths, infusions and infusions use inflorescences of grass. The healing properties of calendula are due to its rich composition: carotenoids, sterols, triterpenoids, flavonoids, essential oils and coumarins.

- When blennorei, that is, an acute purulent inflammation of the mucous membrane of the eye, take a tablespoon of calendula and pour a glass of boiling water. Aloe for eyewash
Another popular alternative medicine used for eye disease is aloe vera. Strawberry contains vitamins A, B, C and E, folic acid and choline. These components normalize metabolic processes in the lens, eliminate its turbidity and prevent the development of cataracts. Calcium, zinc, potassium and other plant minerals maintain the chemical balance of the lens.
The main indications for the use of aloe in ophthalmology:
- Cataract.

- Conjunctivitis, barley and other inflammatory lesions of the eyelids.
- Inflammation of the iris.
The plant is effective with fatigue and puffiness of the eyelids. Excellent moisturizes and prevents the appearance of wrinkles. Aloe vera juice is used for treatment, which must be prepared in accordance with special rules:

- For the treatment of barley pour warm boiled water crushed aloe leaf in a ratio of 1:10 and let it brew for 8-12 hours. Strain and use for lotions or rinses. Procedures should be carried out until complete recovery.
- To combat wrinkles around the eyes, you can prepare a mask from aloe. Take in equal proportions the juice of aloe, honey and egg yolk. Thoroughly mix everything and apply on the skin around the eyes and eyelids for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. The mask is recommended 1-2 times a week.
The use of aloe in the form of compresses or drops for the eyes does not cause side effects and has practically no contraindications, except intolerance to the plant.
Washing of eyes with bay leaf
A popular spice and an effective alternative medicine is a bay leaf. The plant is valued for its unique composition: essential oils, tannins, organic acids (acetic, valerian), phytoncides. The natural antibiotic possesses pronounced anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
