Pharmacodynamics

The active substance of the drug is dimethicone, which is known for its presence in a large number of external medicinal and cosmetic products. This substance already in 4% solution poses a serious threat to the vital activity of lice. However, for destruction of nits, a somewhat higher concentration is required, therefore, as a rule, two applications of the drug with a weekly interval are used to completely destroy the parasites.

Hedring does not contain neurotoxic substances, so this drug is not aimed at inhibiting the specific enzymatic activity of lice. The liquid affects the parasites with a physiological method: the lotion envelops the insect, disrupting the water balance in its body. As a result, lice, affected by lotion, stop withdrawing from your body excess fluid.

Hedring's action is even amenable to those insects that show resistance to other insecticides.
