Hartil is a drug used to treat cardiovascular diseases, prevent and treat myocardial infarctions. Let's look at the features of this drug, indications for its use, dosage and method of administration, main contraindications and side effects, as well as all the information that a patient should know about Hartil.
Hartil contains the active ingredient ramipril, which is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. The drug is prescribed to treat diseases characterized by high blood pressure. Hartil helps with complications of acute myocardial infarction, heart failure and glomerular lesions in diabetes. Hartil is also used for diseases of the ureter and kidneys.
Hartil has a number of analogous drugs that have the same indications for use, but differ in their composition. As a rule, if Hartil is not available in the pharmacy, you can safely buy: Amprialan, Tritace, Rampirill, Piramil, Korpril and other drugs that a pharmacist or attending physician can tell you about.
Indications Hartyl
Indications for the use of Hartil are related to the work of the active substance of this drug and its effect on the body. Hartil is prescribed to patients with diseases such as:
- Chronic heart failure;
- Diseases that arose against the background of acute infarction;
- Diabetic nephropathy;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Chronic diffuse kidney diseases.
Taking Hartil without indications for its use is not recommended. Since before prescribing the drug, the doctor diagnoses the patient's condition, the presence of chronic diseases and contraindications. And self-administration of Hartil can cause serious side effects of the drug and only worsen the patient's health.
Release form
The drug Hartil is available in tablets. One package of tablets contains 2 blisters of 14 tablets or 4 blisters of 28 tablets. Please note that Hartil is available in 1.25 and 2.5 active ingredients. The tablets are oval, white to yellow in color, with a bevel. Hartil is also available in 5 mg and 10 mg, in which case the tablets may be pink and oval in shape.
The dosage of Hartil is selected by a doctor, individually for each patient. It is not recommended to take this drug on your own. Since an incorrectly selected dosage may cause uncontrolled and irreversible side effects.

Pharmacodynamics
Pharmacodynamics of Hartil is based on the work of the active substances of the drug. The active substance of Hartil is ramipril, it inhibits ACE, due to which a hypotensive reaction occurs. The drug reduces the level of angiotensin, which leads to a decrease in the secretion of aldosterone. Ramipril affects the process of blood circulation in tissues and vascular walls. With prolonged use of the drug, ramipril causes complications and diseases in patients with arterial hypertension.
The use of ramipril significantly reduces pressure in portal hypertension in the portal vein, slows down the processes of microalbuminuria, and in patients with diabetic nephropathy worsens the state of renal function.
Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacokinetics of Hartil are the processes that occur with the drug after it enters the body, i.e. absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. After taking Hartil, the drug is quickly absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract and reaches its maximum concentration in the blood plasma after 1-1.5 hours. The degree of absorption of the drug is at the level of 60% of the administered dose. Hartil is metabolized in the liver, forming active and inactive metabolites.
Please note that the active substance Hartil ramipril has a multiphase pharmacokinetic profile. After using the drug, about 60% is excreted in the urine, and the remaining 40% in the feces, while about 2% of the drug is excreted unchanged. If the drug is taken by patients with renal failure, the rate of its excretion is significantly reduced. And a decrease in enzymatic activity in liver dysfunction leads to the fact that the processes of converting the active substance Hartil into ramiprilat are slowed down. This can cause an increase in the level of ramipril and cause overdose symptoms.
Dosing and administration
The method of administration and dosage of the drug depend on the disease and its symptoms. In addition, the use of the drug depends on the presence of contraindications, the patient's age and other individual characteristics of the body. The drug is taken orally, and the intake does not depend on the time of food consumption. It is not recommended to chew the tablets, they are washed down with plenty of water. The dosage of the drug is determined according to the tolerability of Hartil and the desired therapeutic effect.
- For arterial hypertension, take 2.5 mg of Hartil once a day. The treatment period is from 7 to 14 days.
- For the treatment and prevention of heart failure, take 1.25 mg of Hartil once a day. The treatment period is selected individually, but does not exceed 3 weeks.
- Treatment after myocardial infarction involves taking 2.5 mg of Hartil per day for 3-10 days.
- For the treatment of nephropathy (diabetic and non-diabetic), take 1.25 mg of Hartil per day. Treatment lasts for 5-10 days.
When Hartil is taken by elderly patients, patients with renal failure, impaired renal function and during diuretic therapy, the dose of the drug is selected individually.

Use Hartyl during pregnancy
The use of Hartil during pregnancy is contraindicated. The active substance of the drug disrupts the development and formation of the kidneys in the fetus, reduces blood pressure, leads to hypoplasia and deformation of the child's skull. It is strictly forbidden to take Hartil in the early stages of pregnancy, since taking the drug is a direct threat to the life of the child. In many patients, Hartil in the first trimester caused miscarriages and bleeding.
In the second trimester, the drug can be taken, but only for medical reasons. At the same time, a woman should understand that treatment with Hartil is a direct threat to the normal development of her future child. Long-term use of the drug in the second trimester is the cause of fetal intoxication. If the drug is taken in the last trimester of pregnancy, it will lead to fetal and placental ischemia, causing delays in the growth and development of the child. Women who take Hartil during pregnancy should undergo an ultrasound examination to check the condition of the skull and kidneys of the child.
Hartil is prohibited during lactation. The active substance ramipril is excreted in breast milk. In addition, taking the drug causes the cessation of milk production. In this case, treatment is carried out with safer analog drugs and breastfeeding is abandoned.
Contraindications
Contraindications to the use of Hartil are based on individual intolerance to the active substance of the drug. The drug is prohibited during pregnancy and lactation, in the presence of chronic diseases and a number of other symptoms that can be determined by a doctor. Let's consider the main contraindications to the use of Hartil.
- Pregnancy and lactation period;
- Hypersensitivity to ramipril and other components of the drug;
- Renal failure;
- Chronic liver diseases;
- Renal artery stenosis;
- Unstable hemodynamics.
The drug is taken with special caution in case of mitral stenosis, as excessive decrease in blood pressure may occur. The drug is not recommended for patients undergoing dialysis, as there is currently no exact data on how Hartil will affect the body.
Side effects Hartyl
Hartil side effects may occur due to overdose of the drug, hypersensitivity to the active ingredient Hartil and in the presence of contraindications. Let's consider the main symptoms of side effects when taking this drug.
- Lowering blood pressure;
- Myocardial ischemia;
- Headache and dizziness;
- Insomnia, weakness, fainting;
- Vestibular disorders;
- Disturbances of smell, vision, hearing and taste;
- Bronchospasms and cough;
- Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting;
- Stomatitis;
- Cholestatic jaundice;
- Allergic reactions on the skin;
- Decreased hemoglobin concentration;
- Vasculitis;
- Changes in sweating and cramps;
- Neuropenia and other symptoms.
If side effects of Hartil occur, you should stop taking it and seek medical help.
Overdose
Overdose of Hartil occurs when using high doses of the drug and taking the drug for a long time. The main symptoms of overdose are expressed as low blood pressure, water-electrolyte imbalance, bradycardia, renal failure.
In case of a mild overdose of Hartil, gastric lavage is performed and adsorbents are taken. In case of symptoms of acute overdose, it is necessary to seek medical help. In this case, maintenance of vital functions and their control, as well as symptomatic therapy are carried out.
Interactions with other drugs
Interaction of Hartil with other drugs is carried out according to medical indications. Thus, the use of Hartil with corticosteroids, cytostatics causes changes in the blood and increases the possibility of disorders in the hematopoietic system. When Hartil interacts with insulin and sulfonylurea derivatives, that is, antidiabetic drugs, a sharp and dangerous decrease in blood sugar levels occurs. This occurs because the active substances of Hartil increase the body's sensitivity to insulin.
When using Hartil, it is recommended to abstain from alcohol consumption, as the drug increases the effect of alcoholic beverages. Any interactions of drugs with Hartil should be monitored by the attending physician to avoid side effects.
Storage conditions
Storage conditions for Hartil must comply with the recommendations specified in the instructions for the drug. Hartil must be stored in a dry, cool place, protected from sunlight and inaccessible to children. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C.
Failure to comply with storage conditions leads to spoilage of the drug and loss of its medicinal properties. If storage conditions are not met, the drug Hartil also changes its physical properties - color, smell, etc.
