The multi-component homeopathic remedy for complex use Galstena is a herbal preparation that is actively used for diseases of the digestive system and liver.

Indications Gulstens

Homeopathic remedy is used:

  • in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammation of liver tissue;
  • in pathologies of the biliary tract;
  • in chronic inflammatory processes in the pancreas.

Thus, Galstena is prescribed for hepatitis, hepatosis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, and conditions after gallbladder removal.

Can be used to protect liver cells from the harmful effects of antibiotics, other medications and alcoholic beverages.

Release form

Galstena is produced in the form of drops and tablets for internal use.

Drops in brown glass jars with a capacity of 20 or 50 ml, with additional protection against opening, a polyethylene drip device is included in the kit. The jar is placed in a cardboard box complete with printed annotation.

Sublingual tablets. One package may contain 12, 24, 36 or 48 light tablets with small inclusions, containing a dosing notch on one surface.

Composition of the homeopathic remedy: Carduus marianum, Taraxacum officinale, Chelidonium maius, Natrium sulphuricum, phosphorus. Additionally, the drops contain ethanol.

Pharmacodynamics

Galstena is a combined homeopathic remedy with pronounced hepatoprotective, cholekinetic and choleretic effects. Effectively eliminates inflammatory phenomena and spasms in the liver and bile ducts.

The drug normalizes the structure of the bile substance and serves as a preventative measure against stone formation.

Pharmacokinetics

The pharmacokinetic properties of homeopathic preparations are determined by the action of the complex ingredients included in the composition, therefore, the study of pharmacokinetics is not possible.

Dosing and administration

Galstena sublingual tablets: take half an hour before a meal or 60 minutes after. Do not swallow the medicine, just keep it in your mouth until it dissolves completely. Use in children: dissolve the tablet in a small amount of water. Doses:

  • for adults 1 tablet every half hour to hour, but no more than 4 per day;
  • for children ¼ or ½ tablet, but not more than 2 per day.

Drops for internal use: take half an hour before a meal or 60 minutes after. Drops can be taken in a small amount of water, after holding the preparation in the mouth for a while.

Doses:

  • for adults, 10 drops every hour, but not more than 40 drops per day;
  • in childhood: up to 12 months, 1 drop; up to 5 years, 3-4 drops; up to 15 years, 6-7 drops four times a day.

The duration of treatment can range from one to three months, and the treatment can be repeated after a month's break.

Preventive administration of the drug is carried out for three weeks.

Use Gulstens during pregnancy

There is no reliable information about the use of Galsten by pregnant women, as well as during lactation. For this reason, it is recommended to refrain from using the homeopathic remedy during these periods. The drug is prescribed only in cases where it is not possible to replace it with other medications, and the expected benefit will be clearly higher than the probable danger to the fetus and to the pregnancy process as a whole.

Contraindications

The homeopathic remedy Galstena has no other contraindications, except for an individual tendency to allergy to any of the ingredients of the drug.

In case of alcohol-induced toxic liver damage, head injuries, or a tendency to epileptic seizures, the drug should be taken only under the supervision of a physician.

Galstena may cause allergic reactions and hypersalivation. If these symptoms occur, seek medical attention.

Overdose

There have been no cases of overdose with the homeopathic remedy Galstena. Presumably, the possibility of overdose with the drug is excluded.

Interactions with other drugs

The manufacturer of Galstena does not exclude the use of other medications simultaneously with the homeopathic remedy.

Storage conditions

The medicine is stored in the original container, in places located far from solar and electromagnetic radiation. Temperature indicators for storing homeopathic medicine should not exceed 25°C. Children should not be allowed near places where medicines are stored.

Shelf life

The date of manufacture of the drug must be indicated on the packaging. The drug should not be stored or used after 5 years or more from the date of manufacture.
