Garlic oil is a medicine that reduces the level of triglycerides and cholesterol in the blood serum.

Indications Garlic oils

It is used in the following cases:

  • for the treatment or prevention of the development of acute forms of respiratory diseases, pharyngitis with influenza and tonsillitis, as well as chronic stages of bronchitis and sinusitis;
  • for combination therapy for colitis, cholecystitis, constipation and chronic forms of cholangitis;
  • for the prevention of the development of lipid metabolism disorders, as well as for complex therapy for atherosclerosis;
  • in dentistry – strengthens gums, reducing bleeding and inflammation, and reduces the risk of developing caries.

Pharmacodynamics

Garlic oil contains 2 natural elements - harmicin with allicin. They provide the bactericidal effect of the drug. The drug also contains iron with manganese and potassium, as well as magnesium, sulfur, selenium with unsaturated aldehydes, essential oils, and also retinol, ascorbic acid and vitamin B. The presence of γ-lipolenic acid provides anti-inflammatory and hypolipidemic effect of the drug.

The oil also has a choleretic effect, stimulates the process of bile secretion, has a beneficial effect on the motility and secretory activity of the gastrointestinal tract, and in addition, reduces the processes of putrefaction and fermentation occurring inside the intestines.

Strengthens vascular elasticity, increases the body's non-specific resistance.

Dosing and administration

Children under 14 years of age are prescribed a single dose of 1 capsule per day. Teenagers over 14 years of age should take 1 capsule twice per day after meals.

For prevention in adults – take 1 capsule 2 times a day after meals.

During an epidemic of influenza or acute respiratory viral infection, take 2 capsules of the drug three times a day after meals.

The duration of the course is selected by the doctor, taking into account the type of pathology, its nature and severity.

Use Garlic oils during pregnancy

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

Overdose
