Filtrum-sti

Filtrum-sti is an enterosorbent. Its active component – lignin – is a product obtained during hydrolytic processing of wood.

The substance has a strong sorbing capacity. The component is not subject to absorption and metabolic processes, it only attracts pathogenic bacteria, drugs and various toxins to the surface of its own molecules. In addition, the drug has the ability to synthesize cholesterol with urea and bilirubin, as well as all other substances that can lead to the development of toxicosis.

Indications Filtrum-sti

It is used for the following disorders:

• acute intoxication with chemical reagents (alkaloids, various medications, alcoholic beverages, heavy metals with their derivatives);
• hyperazothermia or -bilirubinemia;
• infections or food poisoning;
• purulent-inflammatory diseases accompanied by poisoning;
• dysentery or salmonellosis.

Along with this, the drug is used to treat dyspepsia, prevent intoxication in people working in hazardous industries, and in cases of mild drug allergies.

Release form

The medicinal substance is released in tablets - 10, 20 or 30, as well as 50 or 60 pieces in a pack.

Dosing and administration

The drug should be taken orally, 1 hour before eating. It is recommended to crush the tablet before use.

Schemes of drug use for different ages:

• for adults, 1 dose is equal to 2-3 tablets;
• children aged 7-12 years should take 2 tablets;
• for children aged 4-7 years, 1 tablet is recommended;
• children aged 1-3 years – 0.5 tablets;
• infants under 12 months of age are given ¼ or 0.5 tablets.

As prescribed by a doctor, the portion size may be significantly increased.

The duration of the cycle is 3-5 days (in the active phase of the pathology) or 2-3 weeks (in case of poisoning or chronic diseases).

Use Filtrum-sti during pregnancy

Filtrum-sti is usually not used during pregnancy, because there is not enough information regarding the safety of its use during this period.

Main contraindications:

• ulcerative diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract;
• presence of allergy to any of the components of the drug;
• intestinal atony.
