F-gel is an effective anti-inflammatory, analgesic agent with antiplatelet action. Let's consider the features of this medication, its mode of action and therapeutic effect on the body.
F-gel contains the active substance - ketoprofen. The composition of the drug includes such substances as: lavender oil, nipagin, carbomer, trometamol. The drug has anti-radicin activity and is responsible for the stabilization of lysosomal membranes. That is, it releases enzymes that contribute to the destruction of tissues in chronic inflammatory diseases.
The drug is absorbed into the skin very slowly and does not accumulate in the body. According to studies, the bioavailability of the drug is 5%. A dose of f-gel of 50-150 mg, 5-7 hours after use, forms 0.15 mcg/ml of the substance in the blood plasma.
F-gel is a medicinal product used to treat muscle pain, injuries, sprains and bruises. The product has an excellent anti-inflammatory effect and relieves pain from the affected area. The product is available without a prescription, but it is recommended to consult a doctor before using F-gel.
Indications F-gel

Use during pregnancy is contraindicated. Also, it is necessary to refuse to use the drug during lactation. It is especially dangerous to use the drug in the first and second trimester of pregnancy. Since the drug has a potential negative impact on the future baby.
F-gel is used during pregnancy only if the therapeutic effect for the mother is much more important than the healthy development of the unborn child.

Overdose
Overdose may be caused by individual sensitivity or intolerance to the active substances. Systemic symptoms of overdose may occur due to prolonged use of the drug. Overdose most often manifests itself as skin dermatitis. Overdose may also occur due to high doses and frequent use of f-gel.
During an overdose, the following side effects are observed: nausea, severe headache, dizziness, unpleasant and painful sensations in the epigastric region. The drug affects the reaction speed when operating machinery and driving a car. F-gel is strictly prohibited for use by patients under 15 years of age.
Interactions with other drugs
Interaction with other drugs is allowed, but is undesirable. The drug shows insignificant absorption of the active substance ketoprofen. If methotrexate is used when using f-gel, the latter drug shows increased toxicity.
When f-gel and diuretics interact, the effect of the latter is significantly reduced. Simultaneous administration of f-gel, diuretics, angiotensin convertase and inhibitors increases the risk of renal dysfunction and cardiovascular system function. If the drug is used together with oral anticoagulants, the patient should be under medical supervision, as there is a high risk of bleeding. F-gel is strictly prohibited to use together with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Storage conditions
The storage conditions of F-gel must comply with the requirements for storing any ointments and medicinal gels. F-gel must be stored in a dark, cool place at a temperature of 15 ° C to 25 ° C.
If storage rules are not followed, the drug loses its medicinal properties and changes its physical and chemical properties. It is recommended to store F-gel in its original packaging, as this will ensure its better preservation.
Shelf life
The shelf life is 24 months, i.e. two years from the production date, which is indicated on the drug packaging. The shelf life of the drug largely depends on storage conditions.
