Enterogermina is a microbial antidiarrheal drug.

The medication is an oral suspension of spores of the substance Bacillus clausii, which is normally present in the intestine and does not have a pathogenic effect on the human body.

Under the influence of Bacillus clausii, the medicine helps to restore intestinal flora, which was disrupted due to the use of medications that cause the development of dysbacteriosis.

Indications Enterogermina

It is used to prevent and treat intestinal dysbacteriosis, as well as the associated internal dysvitaminosis. The treatment helps restore healthy intestinal flora that has been disrupted by therapy using chemotherapeutic agents or antibiotics.

In addition, it is prescribed for active or chronic gastrointestinal diseases that develop due to poisoning or intestinal dysbacteriosis and dysvitaminosis, as well as in infants.

Release form

The drug is released in the form of an oral suspension - inside vials with a volume of 5 ml. One cassette contains 10 such vials. Inside the pack - 1 or 2 cassettes.

Pharmacodynamics

The ability of the Bacillus clausii substance to bind various vitamins, especially from the B subgroup, helps to correct dysvitaminosis that occurs due to the introduction of chemotherapeutic drugs or antibiotics. The metabolic effect developed by Bacillus clausii helps to obtain antitoxic and antigen nonspecific effects.

High resistance to physical and chemical agents allows Bacillus clausii spores to penetrate the intestines without damage from gastric juice. Inside the intestines, the substance is transformed into vegetative cells with metabolic effects.

Dosing and administration

An adult should take 1 bottle of the medicine 2-3 times a day; for people over 1 month and under 18 years of age – 1 bottle 1-2 times a day.

The duration of therapy is selected individually by the doctor, taking into account the progression of the disease and the patient’s condition.

The medicine should be taken at regular intervals (3-4 hours). Shake the bottle before taking. The medicine is taken undiluted or dissolved in plain water or another liquid (tea, milk or orange juice).

The presence of visible particles inside the vial (due to spore aggregation) does not alter the effect of the medication.
