Enterol demonstrates antimicrobial and antidiarrheal activity, increases IgA and other immunoglobulins. In addition, an increase in the effect of sucrases, lactases and maltases is noted.
The active component of the drug increases the enzymatic activity of the intestine, and at the same time has an antitoxic effect on bacterial entero- and cytotoxins. Demonstrates resistance to antibiotics. The medicinal effect ensures the normalization of intestinal flora.
Indications Enterol
It is used for the following disorders:
- intestinal dysbiosis;
- active phase of diarrhea of viral origin;
- dysbacteriosis;
- rotavirus infection;
- IBS.
Release form
The drug is produced in capsules with a volume of 0.25 g - 10, 20, 30 or 50 pieces inside a glass bottle. It can also be produced inside cell plates - 5 pieces (2, 4 or 6 plates in a box) or 6 pieces (5 plates inside a pack).
In addition, it is produced in powder form - 20 sachets per pack.
Pharmacodynamics
Saccharomyces boulardii has an antimicrobial effect associated with antagonistic activity against the following bacteria: Clostridium difficile, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli and Candida pseudotropicalis, as well as Yersinia enterocolitica, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida kruesei, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Giardia, Salmonella typhimurium, Grigoriev-Shiga bacteria and dysenteric amoebas.

Dosing and administration
An adult should take 1 capsule of the drug per day (1-2 times). This cycle lasts 7 days (it can be longer, but not more than 10 days); for the powder, the duration of therapy is similar. Take 60 minutes before meals, washing down with liquid. Capsules are prohibited to be washed down with alcohol or hot drinks.
In the active stage of diarrhea, the medication is used in conjunction with mandatory rehydration.
Use of Enterol in pediatrics.
For children aged 1-3 years - 1 capsule 2 times a day (the therapy cycle is 5 full days). For children over 3 years old, the powder can be diluted in plain water or fruit mixture.
For very young children or in situations with difficulty swallowing, the capsule may be opened and its contents dissolved in cool liquid.
Use Enterol during pregnancy
Pregnant women can use Enterol only with great caution.
Side effects Enterol
Side effects include:

- stomach pain;
- strong personal sensitivity to the components of the drug.

Storage conditions
Enterol should be stored in a place protected from moisture, children and sunlight. Temperature level – in the range of 15-25°C.
Shelf life
Enterol can be used for a period of 36 months from the date of manufacture of the medicinal substance.
Application for children
Not intended for use in infants under 12 months of age.

The analogues of the drug are Lizalak, Goodluck, Primadophilus with Hilak Forte, as well as Bifinorm, Bifidumbacterin and Lactulose with dry Colibacterin, Proteophag and Linex. Also on the list are Legendal, Effidigest with Flonivin BS, Atsilakt, Lactobacterin with Livoluk-PB and Probifor.
Reviews
Enterol gets mostly good reviews. It works effectively in cases of intestinal disorders and diarrhea. One of the important advantages is that its use does not cause the development of constipation (which is often observed when using similar medications).
