Ebersept is a therapeutic and prophylactic cosmetic antifungal and antimicrobial agent. It is often simply irreplaceable for fungal infections of the scalp. According to statistics, more than a quarter of the world's population suffers from such pathologies.

The use of this medication, which is available in the form of shampoo, is easy, convenient, and, most importantly, very effective.

The use of Ebersept shampoo is extremely convenient and comfortable, and its use, as practice shows, is really effective. Ebersept is recommended by dermatologists and cosmetologists for symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis, pityriasis versicolor and dandruff.

Indications Ebersept

The therapeutic and prophylactic shampoo Ebersept was developed by a Greek pharmaceutical laboratory to combat the signs of seborrheic dermatitis, pityriasis, and versicolor lichen.

Seborrheic dermatitis is a disorder of the sebaceous glands, which manifests itself in excessive secretion and pronounced changes in the composition of sebum. This disease can be detected at any age, especially in adolescence, when active hormonal changes in the body occur.

Ebersept will help to cope with such problems as systemic mycosis, dandruff, and can also serve as an excellent prevention of fungal pathologies in people susceptible to their occurrence.

Release form

Ebersept shampoo is produced by the Athens pharmaceutical laboratory Bros ltd (Greece).

The release form is bottles containing about 24 full doses of the drug (120 ml). The active substance of the drug is a synthetic antifungal component of broad action ketoconazole, a representative of the imidazoledioxolane group. One ml of the drug contains 0.2 g of the active substance. The shampoo has a rather pleasant color and smell.

Pharmacodynamics

Ebersept has a detrimental effect on pathogenic and opportunistic fungal infections, which, in turn, provoke the development of allergic reactions and reduce immunity.

The main mechanisms of action of the drug are aimed at disrupting the processes of production of substances that are vital for the formation of the membrane of fungal cells - ergosterol, phospholipids, triglycerides.

The active substance of the medicine is extremely active against dermatophytes and yeast-like fungi. At the same time, keratinization processes are normalized, and a large amount of antifungal substance settles in the upper layers of the skin and hair, which significantly prolongs the effect of the medicine.

Pharmacokinetics

Ebersept is a drug for local use. By creating a high concentration of the drug in the outer layers of the skin and hair, the antifungal shampoo does not penetrate into the systemic bloodstream and does not have a wide effect on the body. Even during long-term use of the drug, its active substance is not detected in the general bloodstream, and penetration through the tissues of the skin is extremely small.

Dosing and administration

The medicinal shampoo is used according to the following scheme:

  • pityriasis versicolor requires the use of shampoo daily for at least five days;
  • signs of dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis are treated twice a week for a month;
  • For preventive purposes, the shampoo is used from once a day to once a week for a month.

The preparation is applied to damp hair in an amount of up to 5 ml, for convenience the product can be diluted with water to the desired consistency. The resulting foam is rubbed into the hair and scalp, kept for about 5 minutes and washed off with clean water.

If the product gets into your eyes, rinse it off immediately with running water.

Use Ebersept during pregnancy

Since the drug does not penetrate into the general circulatory system, its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is entirely acceptable: pregnancy is not a contraindication to the use of the drug.

Contraindications

The medical shampoo Ebersept is not approved for use only in the case of an individual hypersensitivity reaction of the body to any of the components of this drug.

Side effects Ebersept

Side effects when using the drug are quite rare. There may be signs of an external allergic reaction (itchy dermatoses, urticaria, reddening of the skin), as well as skin irritation, disruption of the sebaceous glands (excessive oiliness or dryness of the scalp), contact skin inflammation.

Sometimes, people with chemically damaged hair structure may experience a change in the shade of their hair.

All these manifestations disappear without a trace after the drug is discontinued.

Overdose

Since Ebersept does not have the ability to enter the general circulatory system, its overdose is impossible.

If the shampoo was accidentally ingested, symptomatic and detoxifying therapy may be prescribed. In such cases, it is not recommended to try to induce vomiting or wash out the stomach: Ebersept has foaming properties, which can lead to accidental aspiration of the product.

Interactions with other drugs

Interactions of the medicated shampoo with other drugs have not been proven, but are considered unlikely, since the product is not subject to systemic absorption.
