Indications Diamond Green Flomed

Iodine-flomed, as well as other external antiseptic agents based on iodine, is used to treat the surgical field in surgery, to prevent the infection from infecting small lesions of the skin and mucous membranes (cuts, abrasions), and to disinfect the skin around the wounds. In addition, Iodine-flomed is used as an irritating and distracting agent for reducing the intensity of inflammatory processes in myositis and reducing pain in neuralgia.

Pharmacodynamics

Iodine-flomed contains elementary iodine in the form of potassium iodide, dissolved in ethanol, which has bactericidal antimicrobial activity, causing protein coagulation and blocking the synthesis of certain bacterial enzymes.

Iodine-based aseptics are active against a variety of pathogens, in particular Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Candida, Escherichia, Proteus, Aspergillus, etc. The irritating and distracting properties of the drug are manifested by the reflex response of the body (increased local blood flow) when applied to the skin at sites of inflammation or pain.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied to the skin part of potassium iodide under the action of light decomposes with the release of elemental iodine; part, remains unchanged, and about a third of the drug is oxidized to the salts of iodide (iodides).

Iodine-flomed is absorbed insignificantly by skin cells and penetrates into tissues and thyroid gland.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Iodine-flomed are individual hypersensitivity to iodine and its drugs, hyperthyroidism, thyroid adenoma, renal failure, hemorrhagic diathesis.

Iodine-flomed is not used to treat trophic skin ulcers in diabetes mellitus, deep wounds and extensive wound surfaces, boils, acne, skin rashes in the form of hives, etc.

Interactions with other drugs
