Pharmacodynamics
Diclofenac sodium, which is a derivative of benzeneacetic acid, is an NSAID with powerful analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects, which is caused by inhibition of the binding of PG-inflammatory conduits and pain sensations. It also slows platelet aggregation.
Heparin sodium is a component that has an antithrombotic and anticoagulant effect, and also reduces inflammatory processes. Heparin has anti-edematous properties, and along with it helps the healing of connective tissues. Anticoagulant activity manifests itself in connection with a direct effect on the system of blood rotations (using the formation of a complex with an element of antithrombin III).
Dosing and administration
The cream is used only externally - it is applied to the affected area with a thin layer (2-3 g of substance is required - the length of the cream strip is about 5 cm), slightly rubbing. Do this procedure no more than 3 times / day.
In the treatment of venous pathologies, massage is not necessary, it is allowed only to impose an occlusive dressing on the area that has been treated with cream.
The duration of the course is determined by the effectiveness of treatment and the course of the disease. After 14 days from the start of therapy, it is required to re-evaluate the medicinal effect of the cream.
