Release form

It is available as a solution in polyethylene bottles with a volume of 20 or 30 ml. One packet contains 1 bottle together with a nebulizer.

Pharmacodynamics

The medicine has strong anti-allergic, healing, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous properties, helps improve breathing through the nose, and also relieves rhinorrhea of various origins.

The drug acts by reducing the sensitivity of the nasal mucosa to internal stimuli, as well as to allergens - as a result, edema decreases, and the excretory activity of the mucosa glands decreases.

Dluphen effectively copes with colds of various origins (among them viral, bacterial, allergic, and vasomotor). Long-term use of the drug does not lead to addiction or weakening of its effectiveness.

In addition, the drug prevents the development of itching, as well as dryness of the nasal mucosa, strengthens its protective properties, and along with it improves the sense of smell.

The drug has a certain antimicrobial effect, which allows it to strengthen local immunity and accelerate the recovery of the patient.

Dosing and administration

The medicine is used intranasally. Before using the solution for the first time, the protective cover should be removed from the bottle and then pressed on the sprayer 3-4 times - this is necessary to obtain a uniform amount of dosing.

Before the procedure begins, the patient has to clean the nostrils, then gently insert the tip of the nozzle into the nostril and press it until it stops. At the end of the procedure, wipe the nozzle with a clean dry cloth, then cover with a protective cover. The duration of the treatment course, as well as dosages of drugs, are selected separately for each patient.

For children from 12 years and adults, the dosage size is 2 clicks per each nostril four times a day.

For children under 12, the dosage is 1 push in each of the nostrils, also four times a day.

At the beginning of the treatment course, it is allowed to apply the medication in a standard single dose up to 8 times per day (the interval between procedures should be 1.5-2 hours).

The duration of the therapeutic course in patients with catarrhal form of the common cold is usually 1 week.

The duration of treatment for patients with a purulent form of rhinitis, sinusitis, or eustachitis is generally about 14-28 days.

To eliminate the chronic form of the common cold, treatment usually lasts for 1-2 months. The allergic form of the disease is mainly treated within 7-28 days.

To treat chronic forms of illness, it is allowed to repeat treatment courses several times a year.
