Indications Decasana

  • Skin pathologies (bacterial, purulent or fungal etiology, as well as eczematous rashes of microbial origin).

Dekasan is a 0.02% solution of decamethoxin with saline solution.

Pharmacodynamics

Decasan exhibits:

  • pronounced bactericidal properties against staphylococcal, streptococcal, diphtheria infections, pseudomonas and encapsulated bacteria;

Decasan is especially effective against bacteria resistant to antibiotic therapy (treatment with penicillin, tetracycline, erythromycin, etc.). Resistance to Decasan itself develops very slowly.

Pharmacokinetics

The external use product does not penetrate into the systemic bloodstream from intact skin, mucous and wound surfaces. For this reason, there is no data on the pharmacokinetic properties of Decasan.

Dosing and administration

Standard Decasan solution is most often used in dermatological practice for wiping, washing skin areas, or for applying lotions.

When fistulas are formed, intrafistular lavage is practiced. Duration of therapy is up to 5 days.

In urology, the solution is used in the treatment of chronic inflammatory processes in the urethra and bladder, diluted in advance with boiled or distilled water in a ratio of 1 to 7. About half a liter of the resulting liquid is used for rinsing. The duration of therapy is approximately 20 procedures.

In case of colon pathologies and inflammation of the prostate gland, a warm solution is used as an enema twice a day, no more than 100 ml, until the signs of the acute period of the disease are completely relieved.

In case of oral pathologies, the medicine is used for irrigation (100-150 ml) or lotions for 10-15 minutes. For the treatment of periodontal diseases (I-II st.) with the presence of dystrophic and inflammatory processes, the gum pockets are washed with warm Dekasan. It is possible to simultaneously apply napkins soaked in the solution to the affected gums until the signs of the inflammatory reaction are eliminated. In case of ulcers of the mucous membranes, thrush, the medicine is used for rinsing up to 5 times a day. The duration of therapy is at least 10 days.

Chronic tonsillitis requires frequent washing and rinsing of the tonsils. Simultaneous washing of the nasopharynx is recommended.

For intrabronchial use of Dekasan (for purulent bronchiectasis, hypoplasia, acute period of chronic inflammation in the bronchi), the following treatment regimen is prescribed:

  • microtracheostomal method – no more than 50 ml twice a day;
  • transnasal catheterization – no more than 10 ml once a day;
  • inhalation ultrasound method – no more than 10 ml up to 2 times a day;
  • tracheobronchial lavage – no more than 100 ml.

Duration of therapy: 14-30 days.

To relieve inflammation of the external genitalia, the solution can be used for douching. Dekasan is heated to body temperature and administered with a syringe, about 100 ml three times a day. The birth canal can be disinfected in the same way before childbirth. After childbirth, the drug is used, if necessary, to treat signs of endometritis: the uterine cavity is washed twice a day with heated Dekasan liquid, in an amount of no more than 200 ml.

Disinfection of consumables and instruments in medicine is carried out by rinsing and soaking for 5 to 30 minutes.
