Release form
The release is made in tablets of 12 mg, in the amount of 50 or 100 pieces inside a container. The tablets can also be packed in blisters, 10 pieces inside one. In a box - 5 or 10 such blister packs.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug inhibits the process of tumor cell proliferation at any stage of prostate cancer, and in addition, reduces the volume of sex hormones produced. Compared to other artificial estrogenic drugs, this drug has a longer effect.
If the tumors are estrogen-resistant, Chlortrianisene will be of little effect.
It has a weak feminizing effect (after taking it, men experience the formation of secondary sexual characteristics - the deposition of fat reserves in the hip area, as well as an increase in the mammary glands).
Increases blood clotting, reduces cholesterol levels, and also the level of triglycerides in the blood. Helps to move the fluid located inside the vessels to the extracellular environment, resulting in the formation of edema. Has fewer central effects compared to drugs containing estradiol and estrone.
Dosing and administration
The drug is taken orally, with food.
When treating prostate cancer, it is necessary to take 1 tablet of the drug (12 mg) 2-3 times a day. If the patient has metastases, it is necessary to additionally use prednisolone.
For breast cancer, 1 tablet of the drug is taken four times a day - this is the optimal daily dose (48 mg).
The maximum recommended adult serving sizes are 12 mg (single dose) and 48 mg (daily dose).
The medicine is used for a long time. The individual course for each person is determined by the doctor.
Use Chlortrianizene during pregnancy
Do not use Chlortrianisene if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If the medicine needs to be taken during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued for the duration of treatment.
Side effects Chlortrianizene
Taking the drug may cause the following side effects:
- disorders affecting the digestive function: loss of appetite, nausea, and also diarrhea or vomiting;
- manifestations from the reproductive organs: pain or swelling in the mammary glands, uterine bleeding (women) and feminization (men);
- disorders in the area of systemic blood flow and cardiovascular system: symptoms of circulatory failure, swelling, thromboembolic complications, increased bleeding, increased blood pressure, as well as blood clotting and viscosity;
- Others: mineral metabolism disorder and signs of allergy.
Storage conditions
Chlortrianizen must be kept in a place out of reach of children. Temperature indicators – not higher than 25°С.

Shelf life
Chlortrianisene is permitted to be used for 5 years from the date of release of the drug.
