Various drugs are used to treat complicated dermatoses. Celederm has established itself as an effective and safe drug. Consider its main characteristics and properties.

Celeaderm is a combined topical agent. It contains antimicrobial and corticosteroid components.

  • Betamethasone (topical glucocorticosteroid) has anti-inflammatory, vasoconstrictive and long-lasting antipruritic effect.

The pharmacological group of the drug is corticosteroids in combination with antibiotics for use in dermatology.

Release form

Celederm is prescribed for topical application. The form of the drug is cream. Celederm is produced in aluminum tubes of 15 grams, each tube in a cardboard bundle.

1 g of cream contains such substances: betamethasone 1 mg and gentamicin 1 mg. As additional are: sodium phosphate dodecahydrate, anionic emulsified wax, cetostearyl alcohol, chlorcresol, sodium hydroxide, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, propylene glycol, mineral oil and other components.

Pharmacodynamics

The mechanism of action of a facility is determined by the effectiveness of its components. Pharmacodynamics Celederm is represented by such substances:

  • Betamethasone - reduces the release of anti-inflammatory cytokines, stimulates the synthesis of endogenous substances with anti-edematous activity (lipocortins) and inhibits the metabolism of arachidonic acid. The component reduces the permeability of the walls of the vessels and has an antiallergic effect.
  • Gentamicin - has bactericidal activity against many gram-negative and gram-positive aerobic microorganisms. Does not affect anaerobic bacteria, fungi and viruses.

Pharmacokinetics

After application of the drug to the skin, the active substances begin to be absorbed and have a systemic effect. The pharmacokinetics and absorption of gentamicin are higher than those of betamethasone. Ointment does not penetrate into the systemic bloodstream, so it does not affect the functioning of the body. Celeaderm is not recommended to be applied to the damaged skin surface and used with occlusive dressings or compresses.

The cream is not recommended to rub and use with occlusive dressings. Do not apply in ophthalmology, with accidental contact with eyes, they must be thoroughly rinsed with running water.

If the dermatosis or any other skin disease has an easy form, then the ointment is applied once a day. With more severe forms of skin lesion, the drug is applied two or more times a day. If there is no improvement in two weeks after the start of treatment, then it is worthwhile to see a doctor. Cancellation should be gradual. Prolonged use of the ointment can lead to irritation, growth of resistant microflora, sensitization or superinfection.
