Candiderm has a complex composition and has antiallergic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antimycotic effects.

Indications Candiderma

It is used for therapeutic procedures in the following cases:

  • lichen planus;
  • epidermophytosis in the foot area;
  • dermatoses accompanied by secondary infection;
  • eczema;
  • dermatomycosis (this includes lesions developing in the groin area);
  • dermatosis of allergic origin;
  • neurodermatitis of a diffuse nature;
  • mosquito dermatosis;
  • dermatitis developing as a result of an insect bite;
  • atopic dermatitis;
  • itching in the anal and genital area.

Release form

The medicine is released in the form of a cream, in tubes of 15 g. Inside the package there is 1 such tube.

Pharmacodynamics

The beclomethasone element leads to the development of antiexudative, anti-inflammatory, and in addition to this, antipruritic and antiallergic effects. The medicinal effect develops by slowing down the accumulation of leukocytes, suppressing phagocytosis, releasing special enzymes and conductors of inflammation, and in addition to this, by preventing the development of edema and strengthening the strength of tissues with vessels.

The substance gentamicin is an antibiotic from the aminoglycoside category, which has powerful bactericidal properties. It inhibits the action of Klebsiella, Staphylococcus, Proteus, as well as Enterobacteria, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas and E. coli.

The element clotrimazole has an antimycotic effect. Its fungicidal effect develops by preventing the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an important component of fungal cells.

Dosing and administration

The cream should be applied twice a day to the affected areas of the epidermis. The duration of therapy is determined by the individual sensitivity of the person to the drug, as well as the overall therapeutic effectiveness.

After 0.5-1 month of continuous use of the drug, the first negative manifestations of a systemic nature may develop.

Use Candiderma during pregnancy

Candiderm should not be prescribed to pregnant women.

The active ingredients of the drug can pass into the mother's milk; during breastfeeding, this has a negative effect on the baby. Therefore, it is prohibited to combine breastfeeding and the use of the drug.

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

  • chickenpox;
  • presence of hypersensitivity to drug components;
  • trophic wounds, as well as open wounds;
  • rosacea;
  • post-vaccination manifestations on the epidermis;
  • viruses that affect the epidermal layer;
  • acne;
  • cutaneous syphilis or tuberculosis.

Side effects Candiderma

Long-term use of the cream may provoke general manifestations in the form of suppression of the adrenal cortex function. When used correctly, all negative symptoms are mild and transient. Among the side effects:

  • manifestations of allergies: urticaria, contact dermatitis, and swelling;
  • Epidermal lesions: burning sensation, telangiectasia, flaking, steroid acne, hypertrichosis, hyperemia, burning sensation and pyoderma. In addition, hypopigmentation, skin stretch marks, perioral dermatitis, miliaria, epidermal changes of atrophic nature, dry skin, furunculosis, maceration and folliculitis.

Overdose

In case of poisoning, glucosuria, hypokalemia, increased blood pressure and weight occur, and other symptoms of hypercorticism develop.

During therapy, it is necessary to carefully adjust the salt balance indicators and perform timely symptomatic procedures (it is also necessary to completely stop using Candiderm).

Storage conditions

Candiderm is prohibited from freezing. Temperature indicators for maintenance are a maximum of 25°C.

Shelf life

Candiderm can be used within 36 months from the date of release of the therapeutic agent.

Application for children

It is forbidden to use the cream for children under 16 years of age. In pediatrics (children aged 7-16 years), the drug can be used only with a doctor's prescription. The epidermis should be treated in the morning and evening.
