Pharmacodynamics
Kameflu has disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties, and in addition, it has a weak local analgesic effect. The mechanism of action is assisted by a reflex response (irritation of nerve receptors), as well as stimulation of the processes of formation and subsequent release of endorphins along with other bioactive internal components that affect vascular permeability and pain.
The combination of camphor, chlorobutanol hydrate, and eucalyptus oil promotes the development of a disinfectant and anti-inflammatory effect, helps to facilitate the release of viscous secretions accumulating in the upper respiratory system. Menthol has mild local anesthetic properties and a deodorizing effect.
Dosing and administration
The spray is used nasal or oral - for children from 5 years old, as well as adults. It is applied locally to the mucous and inflamed parts in the throat and mouth, as well as the nose.
Shake the bottle slightly before use. During the procedure, tilt your head forward slightly, then point the spray nozzle into your nostril (approximately 0.5 cm) or at the inflamed area in your throat, then press it. After spraying, hold your breath for a bit. Hold the bottle upright with the spray nozzle facing up (using the spray with the bottle upside down is prohibited).
It is necessary to perform 2-3 irrigations in the throat or mouth area, as well as 1-2 injections into both nostrils. The spray is used 3-4 times a day. If it is necessary to treat the throat or mouth with the medicine, it is recommended to use the spray after meals. Therapy usually lasts for 3-7 days. It is prohibited to use Kameflu for more than 10 days.
During burn treatment, 2-3 irrigations of an area of 15-20 cm 2 of the burned part of the body are performed. The procedure must be performed 3-4 times a day.
