Bivalos helps to correct metabolic processes occurring within bone and cartilage tissues.

Indications Bivalosa
It is used for the following painful conditions:
- osteoporosis, which develops in women in the postmenopausal stage - to prevent the occurrence of fractures;
- osteoporosis in the knee or hip joint;
- osteoporosis that occurs in men.
Along with this, the medication can be prescribed for the combined treatment of various fractures - for example, in the femoral neck area.
Release form
The release of the medicine is realized in the form of powder for the production of suspension. Inside the box usually contains 7, 14 or 28, as well as 56, 84 or 100 sachets, which have a volume of 2 g of the therapeutic component.
Pharmacodynamics
In vitro tests have shown that strontium ranelate helps form bone tissue. In addition, this element is involved in collagen binding and activates the production of components that precede osteoblasts.
The drug reduces the rate of bone tissue resorption processes, thereby preventing osteoclast differentiation. The effect of this therapeutic compound leads to the fact that instead of bone tissue destruction, its formation begins. Consequently, Bivalos activates bone tissue restoration in people with osteoporosis.
A long treatment cycle (more than 3 years) leads to an increase in the patients' biochemical markers that help form bone tissue (type I C-terminal form of propeptide procollagen), and at the same time reduces the level of markers that cause their resorption (N-terminal, as well as C-terminal form of telopeptide).
The medicine helps with osteoporosis in women at the postmenopausal stage - when the likelihood of fractures increases. It also demonstrates high efficiency in osteoarthrosis. The active component of the drug is a participant in the processes of producing cartilage matrix, and at the same time affects human chondrocytes, which slows down tissue destruction. Slowing down the resorption of subchondral tissues has a positive effect on the pathophysiological processes of osteoarthrosis.
Dosing and administration
The medicine must be taken orally. Before use, a suspension must be made from the therapeutic sachets. This mixture must be drunk in the evening, before going to bed. Doctors recommend lying down horizontally immediately after taking the medicine - this will help achieve maximum therapeutic effect.
You should take 2 g of the drug per day (corresponds to 1 sachet). To avoid overdose, you should consult a doctor before increasing the portion size. The entire treatment cycle is long. To make a suspension, you need to dissolve 1 sachet in a glass filled with water at least one third.
Since many food supplements and nutritional products contain calcium, it is necessary to stop taking them at least 120 minutes before using the medicine (because such a combination reduces the absorption of strontium ranelate and worsens its medicinal effectiveness). When using the drug in people with a deficiency of calciferol and calcium, it is necessary to use additional medications that saturate the patient's body with the required components.
