Salivary glands (glandulae oris) are divided into large salivary glands (parotid, submandibular, sublingual) and small salivary glands (glands of the oral cavity, pharynx, upper respiratory tract). The first - paired, the second - plural.
The sacrum (os sacrum) consists of five sacral vertebrae (vertebrae sacrales), which grow together into one bone in adolescence. The sacrum is triangular in shape. He is a massive bone, because he takes on the weight of almost the entire body.
The sacroiliac joint (art sacroiliaca) is formed by the ear-shaped surfaces of the hip bone and sacrum. The joint capsule is thick, tightly tied, attached to the edges of articular surfaces, fused with the periosteum of the pelvic bone and sacrum.
The sacral plexus (plexus sacralis) is formed by a part of the anterior branch of the fourth and fifth lumbar (LIV-LV) and the first-third sacral (SI-SIII) spinal nerves.
