The alternating grass is a representative of an annual herbaceous plant, belongs to the family of Compositae. The alternation can be found practically throughout Europe, in the Central Asian countries, and in Siberia. To produce medicinal products, the upper part of the plant, grass, is usually used.

It has long been used in prescriptions of alternative medicine for the treatment of many disease states. Pharmacodynamics
The alternation of grasses, first of all, with an excellent diuretic and diaphoretic effect, is able to improve digestive processes, stabilize disturbed metabolic reactions.
When investigating the quality properties of the plant, specialists found in it more than 65% of polyphenols, which have a pronounced tanning effect. These substances kill pathogenic bacteria much more efficiently than tannin.
The healing abilities of herbaceous grasses are largely explained by the presence of vitamin C and manganese, which play an important role in the physiology of metabolism. The presence of manganese determines the positive effect on hematopoiesis, blood coagulation, endocrine system function.
Extracts from the plant, thanks to the content of carotene, demonstrate their anti-inflammatory and wound-healing abilities.
The sedative properties of the drugs from the sequence, as well as their hypotensive effect, were proved by experimental methods in animals.
Dosing and administration
Herbal preparations from the herb of the string can be applied externally and internally.
Inside, half an hour after a meal (infusion) take 20-25 ml to 3 times a day. The maximum single dose is 60 ml of infusion. The duration of therapy is from 20 to 25 days.
To prepare the infusion, you need 2 full tablespoons of raw material to pour a cup of boiling water and cover it tightly. We insist 15 minutes, wrapped in a towel, after which we cool for 45 minutes. We filter out, squeeze, cake is thrown away. Infusion use warm.
For external use in the form of compresses, ready-made infusion of herbaceous grass is used, which is moistened with gauze and linen napkins. Use of the traces of grass during pregnancy
Outside use during pregnancy is not prohibited: the plant is used for baths, applications or compresses for the treatment of diathesis, dermatoses, etc., of skin lesions.
The use of the herb inwards during pregnancy is not recommended, since the drugs of the sequence somewhat increase the contraction of the smooth muscle organs, including the uterus, which in theory can trigger a spontaneous abortion.
Special studies on the use of herbs during pregnancy have not been conducted.
Overdose
