Adzhisept is a pharmaceutical product from the group of antimicrobial antiseptics. Let's consider the main properties of the drug and indications for its use.
An antiseptic with local anesthetic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It has a coagulating effect on microbial cell proteins. The medicine is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, and has antifungal properties.
Relieves signs of irritation of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract with decongestant activity. Soothes painful sensations and irritation in the throat, reduces nasal congestion.

Release form
The composition of the drug includes the following substances: 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg and amylmetacresol 0.6 mg. Excipients: sugar, menthol, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, lemon oil, liquid glucose, citric acid, honey flavoring, sodium lauryl sulfate, dyes and flavorings (orange, pineapple, cherry, banana, raspberry, strawberry and lemon).
Adzhisept is available in lozenges and tablets. Each cardboard package contains 4 strips of 6 lozenges/tablets.
Ajisept with eucalyptus and menthol

Depending on the patient's age, the method of administration and dose of Adzhisept are selected. For adults and children over 6 years old, one lozenge is prescribed every 2-3 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 tablets. Lozenges should be sucked until completely dissolved. If a dose of the medicine is missed, the next one is taken according to the schedule, without increasing the dosage.
Use Agisept during pregnancy
The active ingredients of the drug have a local effect and do not enter the systemic bloodstream. Based on this, the use of Adzhisept during pregnancy is permitted. But before using the drug, it is better to consult with your doctor.
Side effects Agisept
Violation of the rules of the drug instructions may provoke side effects. Adzhisept causes allergic reactions: urticaria, irritation of the mucous membranes, Quincke's edema. To eliminate them, it is necessary to stop treatment and take antihistamines (Cetrin, Zyrtec, Erius).

Antimicrobial antiseptic can be used in complex therapy of infectious and inflammatory diseases. Its interaction with other drugs should be regulated by the attending physician. The drug can be combined with systemic agents.

Storage conditions
According to storage conditions, Adzhisept should be kept in a dark, dry place out of reach of children. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature, i.e. not higher than 30 °C. Failure to comply with these recommendations leads to premature deterioration of the medicine and loss of its medicinal properties.

Shelf life
Adzhisept has a shelf life of 36 months. After its expiration, the drug must be disposed of and is prohibited for use for medicinal purposes.
