Aviplant is an antiemetic drug that will help people who do not tolerate sea and air travel well; the basis of the drug is herbal.

Indications Avioplant

Indications for the use of Avioplant are:

  • prevention of motion sickness (when you get motion sick while traveling on any type of public transport), which manifests itself as nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and increased sweating;
  • when a person feels sick and vomits after any surgical operations;
  • the presence of hypofunction of the stomach and intestines, dyskinesia of the biliary tract (hypotonic type), flatulence.

Release form

Avioplant is available in capsules, usually ten of them. The active substance of the drug is ginger root powder in the amount of two hundred and fifty milligrams.

Avioplant is available in hard gelatin capsules with an opaque body, light green, with a dark green opaque cap. The powder inside the capsule varies in color from pale yellow with a gray tint to light brown, the smell is aromatic.

Dosing and administration

Aviplant is administered orally.

If it is necessary to prevent a disease such as locomotion, then two capsules of Avioplant thirty minutes before the person is going to travel are enough. If nausea occurs on the road - one or two capsules of Avioplant every four hours until the symptoms disappear, but you cannot exceed the dose of eight capsules of Avioplant. In this case, the drug can be taken for no more than three days in a row.

To prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery, take four capsules of Aviplant one hour before surgery.

To normalize digestion and biliary dyskinesia, take two to four capsules of Avioplant per day. If three days of treatment have not yielded results, you must consult a doctor.

Use Avioplant during pregnancy

There is currently insufficient data on how safe it is to use the drug for pregnant and nursing mothers, so it is not recommended to use Aviplant at all during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Avioplant include hypersensitivity, cholelithiasis, and children under the age of twelve should not take Avioplant.

Side effects Avioplant

When using Avioplant, allergic reactions and dyspeptic symptoms (heartburn, diarrhea) may occur.

Overdose

If the doses of the drug Avioplant exceed those recommended by the instructions, which is six grams or twenty-four capsules of Avioplant per day, then the central nervous system may be depressed, the heart rhythm may be disturbed, the gastric mucosa may be damaged. In such a situation, you should immediately contact a doctor, stop taking Avioplant, and use symptomatic therapy.

Interactions with other drugs

The active substance of Avioplant - ginger - can affect the absorption of sulfaguanidine. In addition, there may be an increase in intestinal peristalsis, the action of such substances as indirect anticoagulants, hypoglycemic drugs and cardiac glycosides. If Avioplant is used together with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the side effects of the latter may increase.

Storage conditions

It is important to protect Aviplant from prolonged exposure to light, so store it in a dark place. The temperature should not exceed twenty-five degrees Celsius.

Shelf life

The shelf life of Aviplant is three years. It is not recommended to use the drug after the expiration date.
