Indications Aktipol

It is used during therapy with the following pathologies:

  • keratouveitis or conjunctivitis, having a viral genesis and provoked by the activity of adenoviruses herpessimplex, as well as herpeszoster;
  • lesions in the field of the cornea with the retina, having a dystrophic character;
  • keratopathies arising from infections, surgery or trauma;
  • burns or trauma affecting the eye surface;
  • eye fatigue having a chronic form.

In addition, Aktipol is prescribed to reduce discomfort, as well as accelerate the period of adaptation in the case of contact correction drugs.

Release form

The substance is released as a liquid for instillations and injections into the eyes - inside ampoules, having a volume of 1 or 2 ml. The box contains 10 or 50 such ampoules.

Also can be realized in the form of eye drops, in flacons with a volume of 5 ml, equipped with a lid-dropper. Inside the pack - 1 such a bottle.

Pharmacodynamics

Mechanisms of antiviral effects are based on the ability of the drug to induce internal interferon. The drug does not cause development of teratogenic, embryotoxic, as well as mutagenic effect.

Pharmacokinetics

PABA substance is absorbed at a rather high rate after local application of drugs and has a medicamentous effect.

Dosing and administration

Drip drops are prescribed for injection into the conjunctival sac through instillation - 3-8 times a day in an amount of 1-2 drops. It can also be administered in the form of injections of subconjunctival or parabulbar type - in a dose of 0.3-0.5 ml (3-15 injections for the entire treatment cycle).

In the case of deep keratitis of a herpetic origin, the drug is used for a while daily, and later starts to be injected 1-fold with 2-3-day intervals. After obtaining the desired result, Aktipol is used 3 times a day for another 7 days.

During therapy with superficial keratitis of herpetic origin, the drug is injected 1-times at 2-3-day intervals, combining drops with instillations (4-8 times a day, the frequency depends on the clinical course of the pathology).

Use Aktipol during pregnancy

At the moment there are no data confirmed by clinical tests regarding the use of Actipol in lactation or pregnancy. But the drug is still allowed to use if the possible benefit from it is more likely than the risk of complications.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to prescribe medication for people with intolerance with regard to its constituent components.
