Pharmacodynamics

Comfrey ointment 20% with vitamin E on beeswax can effectively eliminate inflammation, stimulate tissue regeneration, and improve microcirculation.

Comfrey accelerates the formation of bone callus after the integrity of the bone has been compromised, stops the further development of the inflammatory process, and soothes pain.

A large percentage of biologically active components present in the rhizome of comfrey, as well as mucus, astringents, acids and allantoin help the wound surface to heal faster.

Allantoin is a substance with a powerful wound-healing effect: it acts gradually, stimulating granulation processes in damaged tissue structures.

Since comfrey ointment is a whole complex of useful natural substances, its effect on tissues is much more effective than that of similar artificial medications.

The additional presence of tocopherol in the ointment provides protection of cell membranes from damage and minimizes the risk of thrombus formation.

Another important component – beeswax – serves as an excellent adsorbent, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and healing substance. Wax is well accepted by the body tissues, providing them with moisture, nutrition and elasticity.
