Vet-Dresser is a local moisturizer for ophthalmic procedures.
The drug shows efficacy in case of ocular dryness caused by, among other things, a lack of mucin. Due to insufficient production of this element by the conjunctiva, the protective film is destroyed, and dry spots appear on the cornea, which can lead to the development of keratitis of a point nature. The drug effectively copes with the clinical symptoms of dry keratoconjunctivitis (such as burning, dryness, irritation, and conjunctival hyperemia).
Pharmacodynamics
The drug acts due to the specific activity of the element povidone. The drug has a moisturizing effect and helps to synthesize fluid, weakening its evaporation from the corneal surface.
Having got on the conjunctiva and the cornea, povidone acts as a mucin replacement - it performs its physiological functions.
The use of drugs allows not only to weaken the intensity of signs of dryness of the cornea, but at the same time prevents the degradation of the epithelial layer of the visual apparatus.
Dosing and administration
Vet-Dresser is applied in accordance with medical recommendations. In the absence of other prescriptions, it is usually necessary to bury one drop of the medicine in each eye. Often, a maximum of 5 drug administrations per day is sufficient.
For the instillation of the drug, this scheme is used: you first need to open the container (hands should be washed), then turn it upside down and press down on the bottom of the bottle to ensure proper dosing (this procedure is performed only before the first use). After that, you should slightly tilt your head back and pull the lower eyelid with your finger. Further in this area the preparation is instilled. You need to slowly close your eyes so that the drops are distributed more evenly. At the end of the procedure, the container is closed, making sure first that the dropper tip is not wet.
One container can only be used by one person.
The drug is compatible with any type of contact lens, subject to the prescriptions of the ophthalmologist.
When using drops, it is necessary to control so that mucous membranes, skin and other surfaces do not touch the dropper tip (because this can lead to contamination of the fluid, resulting in an increased likelihood of infection).

Contraindications
