Patenteks Oval N are gynecological suppositories from a subgroup of non-hormonal contraceptive drugs. Suppositories have a foaming effect and have a strong spermicidal effect.
The drug leads to fragmentation, weakening of mobility, as well as the subsequent death of sperm. At the same time, the drug has antiviral, antimicrobial, antiparasitic and antimycotic properties against some bacteria that cause the development of diseases that are transmitted through sexual contact.

Pharmacodynamics
The drug weakens the surface tension in the lipid wall of the sperm, and then has an irreversible paralyzing effect on their motor ability.
Mechanical effect: the spermicidal component creates a uniform layer inside the vagina, forming a stable barrier there that prevents sperm from entering the uterus.
Dosing and administration
Pessary is required to enter into the vagina about the depth of a finger before each sexual contact. The activity of the substance develops after 10 minutes after administration.
In the absence of ejaculation for 60 minutes from the moment of using the drug, it is required to reintroduce the suppository (although it is believed that the medication has a 2-hour duration of exposure).
