Indications Rekormona
It is used for the symptomatic treatment of anemia that accompanies certain conditions:
- tumors in people who undergo chemotherapy procedures;
- lymphocytic leukemia or myeloma in people undergoing anticancer treatment;
- renal failure in the chronic stage;
- various diseases of a chronic nature.
Release form
The release of a substance is realized in the form of a solution, inside tubes of syringes used for the introduction of the IV or SC method.
Pharmacodynamics
The recombinant drug in its biological parameters and chemical structure is similar to human erythropoietin, which regulates the processes of erythropoiesis.
The drug increases the number of red blood cells, as well as hemoglobin values. It does not affect the processes of leukopoiesis. If there is a lack of iron in the body, it is used in combination with iron. Does not have a cytotoxic effect on the human bone marrow.
Erythropoietin endings sometimes occur on the surface of tumor cells. It cannot be ruled out that medicaments stimulating the processes of erythropoiesis increase the activity of growth of malignant tumors.
Recormon must be administered subcutaneously or intravenously, because the substance is destroyed when it enters the gastrointestinal tract.
Pharmacokinetics
After s / c injection, the drug is absorbed for quite a long time, reaching Cmax values after 12-28 hours. The level of bioavailability of drugs after subcutaneous injection - within 23-42%.
With the on / in the method of administration, the half-life of the substance is 4-12 hours, and with sc injection, it increases to a point in the range of 13-28 hours.
Dosing and administration
The drug should be administered intravenously or subcutaneously. The tube syringe from packaging is immediately ready for use.
Anemia in people with renal pathologies.
For people undergoing hemodialysis, the drug is administered through an arteriovenous shunt, at the end of the treatment session. People who do not conduct hemodialysis procedures, the solution is injected s / c method.
At the initial stage of therapy is the selection of the dosage. For subcutaneous injections requires 20 IU / kg with 3-fold application per week. For intravenous injections - 40 IU / kg, also with 3 times a day for 7 days. The size of the maximum weekly portion for any injection method should be no more than 720 IU / kg.
Therapy is carried out to achieve hemoglobin values of 100-120 g / l. Next comes the selection of the minimum maintenance dosage, which is enough to get the desired effect. A weekly portion is administered in 1 or 3 doses. After stabilization, the patient is transferred to a single injection of drugs with a 2-week intervals between treatments. To carry out the treatment you need a long course.
Anemia in people undergoing chemotherapy.
The size of the initial portion is 450 ME / kg per week, which are administered by the method, by one injection or in 3 doses. After reaching certain hemoglobin values, the portion is reduced by 25-50%. Further therapy is continued for another 1 month after completing the course of chemotherapy.
Use in children.
Therapy in children is required to begin with a standard dosage portion. To prevent the development of anemia in premature babies, medication is injected only through syringe tubes. Therapy starts from the 3rd day after birth and lasts up to 1.5 months. The introduction is made by s / c method, 250 IU / kg 3 times a week.
It should be borne in mind that only a clear injection liquid is suitable for administration, in which there are no inclusions. Remains of a substance that has not been used when administering a dosage portion cannot be reused. Because of this, patients with low weight need to enter the drug in portions of 2000 or 1000 IU.
Before starting therapy, it is necessary to eliminate iron deficiency; iron supplements may be prescribed.

Use Rekormona during pregnancy
There is evidence of prescribing the drug after the 20th week of pregnancy with anemia of iron deficiency and reduced production of erythropoietin. Its use in this case is considered appropriate, because Recormon helps to deliver iron, taken by a woman, inside the bone marrow, where erythropoiesis is enhanced.
