Release form
The release of the medication is realized in tablets packed in blister plates of 15 pieces. Inside the pack there are 1 or 2 such plates.
Pharmacodynamics
The active ingredient of the medicine is a vitamin B, which is water-soluble. Biotin is extremely important for the healthy growth and development of cells within the human body.
The active ingredient, coenzyme carboxylase, is an active participant in the processes of lipogenesis, gluconeogenesis, leucine digestion and biotransformation of propionates. The medication helps to stabilize blood glucose and improves the function of HC together with collagen binding processes with purine nucleotides.
The component has a positive effect on the condition of nails, epidermis and hair. Inside a healthy body with a high-quality diet, biotin undergoes binding to the intestinal microflora or enters inside with food.
Often with prolonged diets, unbalanced nutritional regimen, malabsorption syndrome, consumption of raw egg protein in large volumes, as well as after hemodialysis or resection of the small intestine, deficiency of this element is noted.
Pharmacokinetics
After the use of drugs, the active element is absorbed inside the upper part of the small intestine, and the process itself occurs under the influence of diffusion. About 80% of the drug undergoes protein synthesis inside the plasma.
Medobieotin excretion is carried out with feces and urine (50% unchanged and another 50% in the form of inactive metabolic products). The half-life is about 24 hours, but in general it depends very much on the size of the used portion.
Dosing and administration
Use the medication orally before eating. Before starting therapy, consult your doctor.
To strengthen hair with nails and improve the condition of the epidermis, as well as in cases of psychoemotional disorders, take one tablet a day. If required, it is allowed to increase the dosage to 5 mg of the substance (up to 2 tablets per day) during the first week of treatment.
For the treatment of malabsorption syndrome, 4 tablets (10 mg of the drug) are consumed per day, and this daily should be divided into 4 receptions.
With multiple carboxylase deficiency, a maximum of 20 mg of the substance is allowed per day (8 tablets taken in 2 doses).
The drug has excellent tolerability, which allows you to use it for long courses. The average period of the treatment cycle is 30 days (if there are no other medical indications).
