Indications Medizola
It is used as a therapeutic agent for tissue as well as cavitary helminthiases, and besides this, with miases and other invasions of parasites of a casuistic nature.
Release form
The release of the medication is realized in the form of chewable tablets having a volume of 0.2 or 0.4 g.
Pharmacodynamics
Albendazole is a highly effective medicinal substance that helps fight against poly-, and also monoinvasions; large doses of drugs can treat hydatid pathologies.
The active component of the drug has ovicide, larvicide, and also vermicidal properties (destroys both larvae with eggs and already adult parasites). The drug demonstrates high therapeutic efficacy in one or multiple use, contributing to the treatment of diseases that can be triggered by the activity of migrating helminthic larvae transmitted to humans from animals (eg, in the development of toxocariasis).
People with echinococcosis or multi-chamber echinococcosis are prescribed as primary therapy for lesions of an inoperable nature, and also as an adjuvant to prevent the need for a surgical procedure.
Pharmacokinetics
Albendazole is weakly absorbed inside the gastrointestinal tract, but at the same time it actively participates in the first phase of metabolism. The plasma Cmax indices of the basic metabolic product (element albendazole sulfoxide) are in the range of 0.22-0.25 mg / l and are recorded after 2-3 hours from the moment of application of drugs. The new dosage has a plasma half-life of 8.5 hours. This metabolic product has an antihelminthic effect and is excreted (as well as other metabolites) along with urine.
Dosing and administration
When infected (an adult and a child over 2 years of age) with ascariasis, trichurosis, enterobiasis, and ankylostomiasis, one usually takes 0.4 g of the drug once. Accepted tablets should be chewed thoroughly.
The size of a daily portion for a child under 2 years of age is calculated in a ratio of 6 mg / kg.
In angiovilluleza, teniadosis or dibotriotsefaleze apply 0.4 g of medication once a day for 3 days.
During the period of treatment, special measures (such as enemas, fasting and taking laxatives) are not required.
Therapy in case of tissue-type helminthoses (trichinosis, echinococcosis or toxocarosis) is carried out in a hospital according to a scheme that is individually selected for the patient by a doctor.
Albendazole was tested in children younger than 2 years of age, and a dosage of 0.2 g demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of conventional helminthic invasions.
Serving sizes for different diseases:
- ankylostomidosis - one-time use of 0.4 g of medicines per day;
- Ascaridosis - a single dose per day 0.4 g of the drug;
- Enterobiosis - one-time application per day 0.4 mg of the drug;
- trichurosis - single use of 0.4 g per day (additional dosages may be prescribed);
- angiovilulez - taking 0.4 g of medicament 1-fold per day for 3 consecutive days. In some cases, use of increased portions is required. If there are larvae in the stool after 3 weeks after the end of therapy, the treatment should be repeated;
- dibotriotsefalez or tsenii doses - 1-time intake per day 0.4 g of drugs for 3 consecutive days;
- hymenolepiasis - 1-fold use of 0.4 g of the drug per day. The cycle lasts 3 days;
- opisthorchiasis - 2-fold intake per day of 0.4 g of the drug. The course lasts for 3-7 days;
- Capillary - 2-time use of 0.4 g of medicine per day. The whole cycle lasts for 10-20 days;
- subcutaneous larvae - 1-time application of 0.4 grams of drugs per day for 3-5 days. Sometimes, to eliminate the disease, there is enough 1-fold intake of 0.4 g of Medizol;
- hydatid pathology (alveococcosis or echinococcosis) - a two-time intake of 0.4 g of the drug per day (adult) or 10-15 mg / kg (child). Use the medication follows the 28-day course, observing between them 2-week intervals. Often enough to hold 3 such courses, but in some cases 10-12 cycles are required;
- cysticercosis - the use of 15 mg / kg of the drug 3 times a day for 8 days. If necessary, the course can be extended to 30 days;
- toksokaroz - reception of 0.4 g LS twice a day for 10 days. Children need to take 10 mg / kg. Often such treatment consists of 3 cycles, but sometimes it takes 10-12;
- Trichinosis - application of 0.2 g of substance 2 times a day, for 7-10 days.

Reviews
Medizol receives good reviews from people who used it to kill helminths. High efficacy was noted for inpatient treatment of trichinosis - the disease was cured for 1 course, without the development of any complications or side effects.
Some patients still noted the development of individual negative manifestations (a feeling of mild weakness, dizziness and nausea), but they were mild, while the therapeutic efficacy proved to be quite high.
