Pharmacodynamics
The bactericidal effect exerted by the drug on the body develops due to the ability to acetylate transpeptidase within the membranes of bacterial cells. As a result, there is a disruption in the formation of cell walls of microbes.
Many Gram-negative bacteria (such as Klebsiella, Providence, Escherichia coli, and in addition, myristibles, pseudomonads, serrations, hemophilic rods and cytrobacteria) possess a strong sensitivity to Cefodox, and in addition separate gram-positive microbes.
Low sensitivity is demonstrated by low-sensitivity anaerobes.
