Pharmacodynamics
The medicine is of vegetable origin. The main bioactive components of ivy leaves are glycoside saponins, which potentiate the excretory function of the bronchial glands, and in addition have an expectorant, secretolitic, tonic, as well as restorative effect.
The contents of pectins with resins, as well as essential oil and tanning elements allow the drug to have anti-inflammatory, disinfecting and wound-healing effects.
Dosing and administration
A bottle of syrup should be shaken before each drug intake.
To be used orally in the following dosages:
- children 2-6 years of age - take 2.5 ml of medicine three times a day;
- children 6-10 years of age - use 5 ml of medicines three times a day;
- children from 10 years and adults - taking 5-7.5 ml three times a day.
To measure the dose, use the supplied dispenser.
The medication is taken in the morning, as well as in the afternoon and in the evening.
The duration of therapy the doctor appoints individually. With an easy degree of pathology, the course lasts no more than 7 days. To obtain a persistent medicinal effect, it is recommended to continue treatment even in the period of 2-3 days after the patient's condition improves.
